Was here for business and i choose this place as it was on the way into wanganui. Although set but the main state highway, the motel itself is a good distance from road itself so no traffic noise.

It had ample of space and very very clean and tidy. Free WIFI and internet. Ensuite with cooking facility. It was very well looked after and modern looking. Can see the owner put alot of investment into this place.

My room was next to the big indoor pool and access to a spare room with 3 more beds.

Host is very friendly.

It very close to the lagoon for nice stroll.

I had photos as i was so impressed but it's somewhere amongst my excess of 5000 to dig through. You def have to see for yourself. you will not be dissapointed!

If only every motel was like this!!!

Nicest place I've stayed for $100 Straight up!

We booked this motel because it was pet friendly. When we got there we just got handed a key and told room number. No introduction, no walk to the room, no details about anything no questions asked about whether we needed anything. We didn't need key as it was unlocked. From entry into room it looked okay. But as we began to settle I realised there was no milk except hut, I had forgotten to ask about internet, so had to go back to reception to ask. I was told currently there were problems with internet. We went out for tea when we came back and found the key didn't work, so back to reception, to be told he gave us wrong key. Later during the evening we discovered more problems but there was a note reception closed at six. Some TV channels didn't work and no sky as advertised. We had also discovered that the heated pool was being done up so couldn't use. Although described as full kitchen there was no microwave. There was only two cups, no teaspoons etc. there was no light bulbs in the toilet and no lightbulb in kitchen light so it was dark in areas. The shower was filthy had mould including pink growth and something like mud on one of the walls as was the carpet. Etc etc. very bad value for money at $110 per night. Never go back and would warn people away. We felt unclean, and shower was a dribble.
