We loved this motel! We had an upstairs room looking out across the beach which was a wonderful spot to sit and watch the water. Bog armchairs facing the view.
Very clean, tasteful and comfortable. Has a log cabin feel to it. And the staff were very welcoming. Would love to return.

We stayed here last night. Beautiful location !! Very scenic view. Very clean and comfortable room, loads of space. The bed was very comfortable The lady in receptors very cheerful and helpful. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone.

We chose this motel as it was pet friendly and had good reviews, it didn't disappoint, staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and tidy, and had everything we needed, short walk to town and lovely views, will happily stay again.

The views! Snow on the ranges, the bay, it deserves the panorama title. Incredible staff! They should be proud of the work they do. We are both walkers so location was no issue for us. 

Now back to the staff … this is what makes a holiday turn great … so caring and helpful. Fresh little touches in the room every day. 

Also we went out on a fishing charter and were offered a burner and pot to cook  a couple of crays in, out the back,  away from the room.

It was idyllic!

Kerri and Terry are the hosts with the most. They went out of their way to make our stay the best it could be, and went above and beyond. Nothing was a bother to them. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. 
The views from the room were spectacular. 
We highly recommend Panorama Motels as the place to stay in Kaikōura.

Just stayed 3 nights in the Upper King Studio, clean, modern with great view overlooking the beach. Comfy bed, great amenities. The owners and Staff were great, freindly and accommodating.  Loved being able to take our dog Sarge. Already booked for next Christmas 🎄 😌

We stayed at this lovely motel for 2 nights. We had a one bedroom apartment on the upper level. A lovely cosy wood cabin style apartment with stunning views out to sea. It was well equipped, had comfortable beds and was spotlessly clean. There was a lovely helpful lady on reception  when I checked in. I would highly recommend a stay here. It's a short drive into town for shops and restaurants, there is however a pub and restaurant a short walk away from the motel, The Pier Hotel where we had a meal on our second evening, I would suggest booking ahead as we failed to get a table when we turned up on the first evening. We had a lovely coastal walk while we were there, plenty of sea lions and a variety of sea birds to be seen, which was lovely. We also went on a whale watching flight, we were lucky enough to spot a sperm whale as well as pods of dolphins.  Overall a great stay.

Wonderful location friendly people just made everything so easy. Incredible outlook clean and tidy. Good stocks of coffee tea great shower etc. magical view over the ocean  not a bad way to wake up. Comfortable bed little private balcony

Absolutely beautiful, pet friendly the most amazing owners and staff, super friendly and helpful felt so welcomed and happy. It was truly amazing room was beautiful so is the view. Free wifi and parking for the room. Grass outdoor area too lovely area of the town too

Great views, clean, comfortable. Friendly helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Great location, quiet - road runs past outside but didn’t bother us and I am very sensitive to noise. Would stay again - great for our family of 4 with 2 adult offspring. Took a ground floor 2 bed apartment. Very well run.

Fabulous Experience

Very comfortable place to stay.  It's very much an older place, and we were hoping it hadn't gone downhill since we were there last; it hadn't.  Breathtaking views of the Seawards from our balcony in the morning, and locals will wave and say hello.  Well-appointed, friendly management.  Small shower was a minor drawback but hey.  We'll be back.

Lovely motel with welcoming and friendly staff. It is in a wonderful position on the esplanade overlooking the sea.
We had ground floor room with patio. The room was well appointed with large comfortable king bed with lovely crisp white bedsheets and pillows. There were two comfortable chairs to sit in & look out to the sea view or watch TV. There was well appointed kitchen with nice supply of teabags etc. The shower was wonderful plenty of hot water and nice smelling shower gel.  The
only issue in that the room was it was hot due to sun-streaming in through patio windows but once doors opened it cooled down & there is a fan.  
We were warned before we went that there is construction work at the motel - luckily for us not at the weekend when we were staying.

This motel certainly lives up to it’s name.  The views are stunning and the room was well designed to take in the view.  The bed and furnishings all very comfortable.  We really liked the pine wood walls as it felt cosy.  We booked the King Studio and it was fabulous.  Very friendly and helpful owners

We stayed at the Panorama Motel for 1 night in a 2 bedroom unit. The unit is modern and we could not fault its cleanliness.
This motel is perfectly located a short drive (3 minutes) from town and has exceptional views across the ocean to the mountains and township.
Check-in was easy and the staff were super poliet and friendly.
I highly recommend this motel and we would stay here again without question.

We stumbled across this place and really glad we did. Magnificent location on the bay with the mountains as backdrop. The room was spacious and possibly the best bed I have slept for the entire trip. Tastefully decorated and well appointed. We had a two bedroom suite. The bathroom was cosey and the exhaust fan a little noisy but all was immaculately clean. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. A gorgeous little town to visit. We dined at the pub up the road which was pretty good as well. Thoroughly recommend this place.

What a find!

Stayed in a 1  bedroomed motel. Good sized rooms with modern decor.  Very clean and well maintained.  Views across the bay to wake up to. The motel is away from the very centre of town which made it a peaceful location, but still close enough that restaurants and shops were easily accessible.  Friendly hosts and would stay again.
