I loved this hostel and cannot recommend it enough!
Well located, really clean and with great facilities. The best part is the staff thou, they are ALL GREAT, just a special cheers to Eliza, best of the best ☺

Lovely hostel

My mother and I stayed here in separate rooms. We found the backpackers to be spotlessly clean and the rooms and beds were comfortable. An excellent place to stay on a budget. The service was friendly and approachable. 

Clean and comfy

Honestly the most worst place I had been too since I arrived no one was at the reception and they put their number on the door but for 40 minutes no one has answered the damn phone and I left a message as well. If you are unattended then answer the phone. I can’t stand at the reception for hours. And I still had to wait. Honestly the worst service.

Arrival

I have stayed here a few times. Great backpacker accommodation. Warm, comfortable, clean, homely atmosphere. Lovely, helpful, kind manager. Piping hot showers. Excellent kitchen facilities. It is a very popular destination and often full. Doesn't appear to attract a rowdy clientele. Very cosy and civilised.

I love Kiwis Nest

I had a reservation for a private room ensuite after completing my subantarctic island voyage of three weeks.  I was met by a very friendly young man who gave me a tour of the hostel so I knew where everything I might need could be found.  My room was the most  pleasant hostel space I've experienced.  Firm bed, great bathroom, fridge, desk, lamp, armoir and one key for all entrances and my door.  A brisk walk to the town center and local attractions so my car could remain parked.  I felt very comfortable and satisfied with this very pleasant place.  If I return to Dunedin in the future I will make sure I have my reservations fo Kiwis Nest.

Warmest reception at a hostel ever.

I stayed only a night and was pleasantly surprised that I got a tour of the house upon arrival. My room was to a side street but still quite noisy. Also there was hardly any space in the fridge and it could do with some cleaning.

Ok for a night

Super Comfy beds and close to city center.  The manager Roz was awesome and gave us some great recommendations for what ended up being the best restaurant we've ate at the entire trip at New Zealand at Buster Greens just down the road.  Looking forward to staying at Kiwis Nest next time we're in Dunedin!

Awesome Location - Great Value

Came to Dunedin for a Special Event hostel was really close to the Octagon Restaurants and Meriden Mall very  Acessible for what we needed Room was very clean great bonus for the price was free toiletries and towels supplied 

Good Value for Money

We stayed here for one night after a long hike . We arrived late but opening the door to our room was like heaven. Lovely and well presented.  Clean towels, tea coffee, soap shampoo, and it was warm. Beautiful place excellent value  for money. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful, clean, bright, cosy welcoming

really disappointed that the room I had booked 9mths ago had been accidentally cancelled and we were put into a room right beside the communal toilets, we could hear people all night.  This is why I had booked the other room to start with as I've stayed there before. The room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly.  Location is great. Easy walk to the stadium.
