Work trip booked on the recommendation of a colleague.

A little like staying in a favourite friend's spare room.  Tony was the host and he could not have been more charming.  Lovely room that was spotlessly clean with en-suite bathroom.  if there is a slight criticism, Better facilities to hanging clothes on a hanger would enhance.

I had arrived about 7.30 in the evening.  Tony was very forthcoming on recommendations for dinner that proved very accurate.  i walked up the road to the Lone star.  That was great as well.

I was lucky in that I was the only guest that night so had the guest lounge and the TV to myself.  A gorgeous room.  I took time in admiring the porcelain collection. 

Tony only offers continental breakfast that is well stated on their web page and is part of the room rate.  I was perfectly happy with that.  As continental breakfasts go though it was quite extensive with a fair bit of choice.

A thoroughly pleasant stay and there is no doubt I will return.  Tony, my apologies, I did say i would be back late March but that has turned into a day trip.

Total delight

We had a great experience here.  The host was friendly and helpful about what to see and do in the area.  The home is very inviting, and the guest lounge was lovely, with coffee and tea and biscuits, as well as a TV and comfortable seating.  Even though it is on a main road, our room was very quiet.  Our host got up early to prepare breakfast for us since we had to leave for the airport before 7am.  I was sorry we only stayed one night because it is such a lovely setting.

Beautiful place to stay

Tony looked after me well and was friendly to talk to. Breakfast was good. Tony could provide advice and contact information about the area. When directing a taxi, tell them that the entrance is on Memorial Ave, not on Stableford Green.

Friendly and good service

We had booked a later landing here, and we must first mention with praise that we were picked up by the host (about 11pm) but the room was rather small, breakfast more average compared to other houses.

B&B near the airport with minor weaknesses

The accommodation is very close to the airport. The centre of Christchurch is also easily accessible by bus, which stops right in front of the front door. Tony, the very friendly owner, picked us up at the airport and took us to the WoMo landlord in the morning. Before that we had a super delicious and rich breakfast. We also got tips from him on bus connections to the city and to restaurants. Although our room was small but tastefully furnished. The bathroom is accessible for single use over the aisle. Overall, the house has a very family atmosphere and we can highly recommend it further.

Ideal accommodation near airports and RV rental companies

We arrived pretty early  and it was no problem to leave our luggage there. Our host provided us with all the information we needed to get to Christchurch and back with the bus. After we returned in the evening he had already moved our luggage to our very comfortable room. The bathroom could be accessed via the hallway but it was our own and they provided bathrobes. Everything was very clean and we immediately felt welcome and at home. In the morning we got a delicious breakfast where we could chat a little bit with our host and afterwards he took us to the airport. Considering that during our stay everything was managed just by him, it was impressive that all guests could choose their individual breakfast times and when they wanted to get their lift to the airport. We can highly recommend staying here while being in Christchurch

Perfect combination of privacy and being guest at someone's home

Having returned our camper van, we needed somewhere to stay on our last night in NZ.
What a great choice we made by choosing Airport Stableford B&B. Not only is it the nearest B&B to the airport, but also the accommodation and kindliness and friendliness of the hosts is first class.
As well as sleeping the night there and having a substantial breakfast, we were able to leave our luggage whilst visiting Christchurch during the day.
There is a bus stop virtually outside the front door and the buses provide easy regular access into and out of the city centre.
The kindness of the host could not be better demonstrated in that he actually drove us with all our luggage and dropped us off at the airport at the time we needed to catch our flight.
We would wholeheartedly recommend this B&B to any future visitors.
