Beautiful setting right beside the river.  The facilities clean & well maintained, nice to see some green grass in summer. Pet friendly our dog & cat loved it. Friendly hosts. Thanks for having us we will be back.

This place is super clean, quiet, convenient, awesome for kids and dogs. My pup and I had an beautiful view from our tent (see photo) ! And so affordable. I highly recommend if you are travelling near Moeraki/Oamaru. Five stars.

Excellent amenities,  wonderful owners and very well kept park. Everything is clean and tidy and the owners are wonderful. Definitely recommend.  Its dog friendly as well which is great and has a playground for the kids. Perfect spot right by the river away from the hustle and bustle.

This is a wonderfully peaceful camping ground, with loads of power points, water taps, showers, toilets etc.  The owner and his wife are very accommodating and go out of their way to help.  It is also dog-friendly and not far from the shops in Hampden, can't praise it enough.

Made the right decision and decided to stay the night here on our way down to Dunedin. Worth it, the owners were lovely and super welcoming. They have a menagerie of friendly animals and it's situated on a picturesque river. Definitely worth $16 each for a powered camper spot.

A wonderful stay at this secluded campsite, lots for kids, giving parents that rest, time in the river, many great places, Morakei, Oamaru & Dunedin, Hampden a short drive down the road & has the biggest ice creams & best fish n chips.

The welcoming & hospitable staff who run this place, have been so kind & accomodating!

We stayed in the cabins, which were great!  We will be back :-)

We were a family of 20, rangeing in age from 8 to 83 and had a brilliant time. If you stay in the cabins, you have access to the lodge which has a large living/dining room and a beautiful outdoor area to sit and have a few drinks. We used the bbq to cook dinner. The hosts were very friendly. The location is next to a river and the area is very picturesque with the famous Moeraki Boulders 15 mins south and Oamaru 22mins North.
If you don’t feel like cooking, drive to Lockies fish and chips at Hampden for some of the best and freshest blue cod you will get. 

Camped at a non powered site and owners were friendly and very helpful in doing the extra little things, e.g. adding solar lighting to show a pathway between the trees to the facilities for late night visits. Easy spot and traffic noise from main road not a problem.  Lots of farm animals for the kids to check out too. 

We stayed in a room for a good price, considering it was high season. We had a private bathroom and everything was so clean. We didn't use the kitchen but had dinner in the shared living-room. Same comment: everything was very clean. The owners were friendly and helpful. The place is located next to a road but it's a very quiet though. You are surrounded by nature and next to the river. Easy to park as well.

Wonderful tranquil setting.

Great location, great hosts, great facilities and we even got to feed the lambs

We had a corner room which was quite dark, and the polar fleece linens were an unusual choice in the middle of summer - but the main issue was the guests in the next room. Despite the kindness of the owners who showed us around and asked them to be quiet they persisted in playing loud music, swearing, and worst of all - smoking directly outside our room. The smoke filled the room. 

My oldest son had some issues with the bed as the slats weren't evenly spaced on any of the beds, so his mattress sagged through. 

The location is lovely- the river was great - I had no issues with any of the other facilities - but if I had wanted to stay with backpackers, I would have stayed at a backpackers. 
Bit of a shame really.
