Great stay and handy to everything. Efficient check in and we had our own wee patio and pool.  Beds comfy and were able to check in slightly earlier. Would definitely stay again.

Great place to stay,  only issue can be the parking if large vehicles block off other parks.  But would stay here again. Clean,  friendly staff,  close to everything

The staff members were good and very helpful (thanks Manish!!! He helped a lot with the choice of activities around the area and choose a restaurant for my birthday.We had everything we needed for our 5 night stay. A little kitchen was useful. The big and a  beautiful bathroom was a surprise. Thanks Rotorua for my special birthday!

I was there with my wife and two teenage children visiting from the US and the room was very clean and comfortable beds. Billy at the front desk was great and he helped us with several questions about the local area. We got a unit with a hot tub in the back garden and that was a great experience!! It was a really nice room at a very reasonable price!

My family and I had a relaxing 2 night stay. The beds are comfy and I love how spacious the room is. Kitchenette had everything we needed. Staff is friendly and very communicative, since we were going to check in after reception closed we followed the instruction for self check in. I highly recommend Thermal Oaks Motel!

The staff was wonderful. The room was clean and spacious and just fine for the one night we needed it. I struggle with this review, because I do I have other points a preference in Roturua. The building is older and quite basic and the rooms are very spare. The spa is a bit of a cage/cell. Stairs are carved wood difficult to navigate in bifocals. To my spoiled American self, the issue may be that this doesn’t seem a 3.5 star hotel—it felt more 2.5. But, again, clean and comfortable and welcoming.

Our flights from Melbourne to Auckland were cancelled due to the cyclone and we had to abandon our visit to the north island and fly straight to Christchurch. I had booked four stays in the north island, two of which were outside the cancellation period- which I accepted. Thermal Oak - and Emily in particular- went above and beyond and agreed to a refund- which we really appreciate. The other  property (At Parkland  Place in Whitianga) declined as they had every right to do. I know where my business will be going on my next trip! Thermal Oak are perfect ambassadors for NZ  tourism- unlike At Parkland Place. Thank you so much Emily - you’re a star!
