We were at a fair on the ground and visited the hotel for two nights. The hotel seemed to be a converted old residential building, everything is very narrow and winding. But of course it also has its charm, a 1.5m2 hallway with four bedroom doors. It was quite customary, but not bad. The rooms are very clean, the bathroom has been in the years. The staff were very friendly and friendly, and breakfast was more than enough. The location is absolutely dreamlike, you have many shops, restaurants and sights in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately the hotel is very bright, so you understand every word when the neighbor comes to the room after three or grey guests come to the restaurant in Spanish La La Laval.

Perfect location, breakfast okay but too loud.

The Hanze Hotel is founded in 1348, when Zwolle still was a member of the Hanze. A community of cities in what now are the Netherlands, Germany, andsome countries to the North.It is a cosy and clean hotel, in the middle of the centre of Zwolle. The staff is very friendly, and they do their best to make your stay pleasant. The room is well furnished, and you can even make some coffee or tea in the room.Breakfast is differentiated enough to finish it with a full stomach. In the hotel there is also a Spanish restaurant, where you can drink your welcome drink, offered by the staff. The Hotel is not far situated from museum the 'Fundatie', and other great places to visit in Zwolle. it is situated about 15 minutes by foot from the railway station.

Good, cosy and historical hotel

The Hanze Hotel is in a great location. The reception was on the first floor, very steep stairs. There we got our room keys and 2 coupons for a drink that you could buy down at the tapas bar. Then we had to book two floors above the steep stairs. The rooms were tiny, barely accommodating. The worst was the huge pillows on the bed, which you had to drop in the evening between door and bed, because there was no other way. My tip was not to get rid of the pillows. Since we were taking a round trip and the car was in twelve, we had booked for the end of the trip here too, but we asked for a little one floor deeper.

Good location

Location, location, location ... that's the main attraction of this small hotel in the heart of Zwolle. When earplugs are provided for free you know that the rooms are not very quiet. The friendly service, relatively good breakfast and the Illy coffee make more than up for this. Elderly people might want to make sure that they are not booked on the 3rd floor - as the hotel does not have an elevator. 

Location, location, location ... with a friendly service!

We stayed with a baby for one night. I cannot describe the room!!! It was very small but very efficient. It has coffee, tea all kind of amenities but the roof is very low and for a reason... All picture frames are not right! The staff is very friendly and polite and the breakfast is lekker!!

Petit room

We stayed on Saturday night, our family had 2 rooms on the top floor. When we arrived and saw the restaurant on the ground level we were a bit concerned about noise, but when we asked the staff AND saw the ear plugs in the rooms; we knew we were in trouble. 
If it were honestly not for the repeated loud noise, talking, laughing, SCREAMING, singing and the room shaking from the music at the bar down below until 3am this would be a completely different review.
The hotel itself is lovely, nice staff, small but cosy and clean rooms. The location is close to the market and town centre. Breakfast was excellent. If it were not for the insane amount of loud noise, I would have given this hotel at least a 3 if not a 4. 
But we ALL (including our 2 children) slept less than 3 hours. This is not a hotel for a good stay, this is a hotel if you are really in the area to party. We would never stay again and I would never recommend it to family and friends. Really a shame.

Too Noisy To Sleep - Please read entire post

Friendly great staff, the have some little special extras that make your stay nice. Room are small, we upgraded to bigger room and still small. Located at end of main street, across from a bus stop. Fussy travelers might not like because you certainly need to use the ear plugs they furnish you due to partying in the square at night, snoring neighbors, and if the next morning is a market day. But with the ear plugs it was perfect. Nice buffet continental breakfast with good coffee and friendly faces. Nice tapas restaurant below. Would recommend to those who don't mind a small room and ear plugs.

Well located and great staff. Small rooms

We stayed at our hotel on the night of 18 August. As soon as we arrived we were greeted with two cups for a welcome cocktail. The room is comfortable on the 3rd floor without an elevator and on the dressing room they also made us find a couple of earplugs, presumably for the geysers placed in front. Another gesture, appreciated, of customer attention (although there was no need to use them). On the ground floor there is a nice local Spanish restaurant where we had a good salmon and sausage filet at fair prices.

Hotel in a very central location with super friendly staff

It's very central, rooms are very small, shower cabin as room, toilet extra in the room. It was very noisy on the square for a long time, for 100 euros, but breakfast was good with fresh fruit, backpacks and everything else. Bicycles could not be put in the lobby until after 11 p.m., where they could not be locked.
