On the website I booked it on, a famous booking site dot com, it said they speak Dutch and English. They don't speak English, but they do speak German which was good for me. It is more of a big house with rooms they hire out, lets start with the room. It was a good room with double bed, and separate shower room with toilet and sink. Plenty of handwash, toilet roll, etc. The room was very clean and comfortable, and had a good nights sleep. The TV was probably 4 inches and I couldn't find the remote. It claims to have a bar, which it does. However I went to the bar, and the lady came over from the "front room" area of the bar, and gave me a beer, then I wanted another and had to disturb her. When I wanted a 3rd she was nowhere to be seen so I went to bed. The location is ok, it is a ten minute walk into the town where there are lots of bars and restaurants, and other shops, etc. I don't know where the free parking is, but I parked on the road which is free from 20:00 to 10:00 so I had to pay 1.70 for an hour from 19:00 to 20:00 right outside the hotel. Easy solution. The Wifi worked perfectly in the room and at the bar, and you can stream videos no problem. The breakfast was good, you get coffee orange juice, a banana, yoghurt, lots of bread and cheese and ham, but nothing hot. Overall for the price it is a really good place to stay, but I stay in hotels in Europe all the time, and I like to go down in the evening for a meal and a few drinks whilst using the laptop in a busy bar. This is what it is not so will not stay again, but if you wanted to visit Valkenburg it is perfect if you are on a budget.
