" the owner said to ask in shops and request them to leave our baggage there"we reached prior to check-in time and there was no one to open the door and we were supposed to receive the code for the door via email. we didn't receive that and had to call up. we even told her over the phone we had done online booking (gave booking ref, name) but the owner wouldn't believe and instead of helping gave us a very stupid idea to knock on every shop nearby and request them to keep our baggage until evening. we went to a tourist information office and asked them to help and they were very kind to speak with the owner and thereafter she gave us the code via SMS. we wasted 2 hours in this hassle

highly inconvenient and unfriendly owner

Service very poor. Hand towels instead of bathing towels. No washing liquid for the dishes, I had to buy one. Shower is leaking from the head plus it takes 10 to 15 minutes to get hot water. Its a self checking which is fine but no one cares when you phone to request for a thing. No TV.

Quality is Poor

It was worst experience ever had. We went there for check in and found no one available. We called the contact person and he simply said that he can't come.We stayed entire night outside searching for hotels and hostels.Very bad

Don't go for this option ever

This hotel has a check in system that is very customer unfriendly. We had to call a number that was often busy, and when someone did pick up, they sounded disinterested. They asked us to Whatsapp us a photograph of our ID cards, which, I found out later, is not legal. It took us about 45 minutes to get from the sidewalk outside the hotel to our rooms, which were dingy at best. There is no check-in desk and no staff on site.

If I had paid budget prices for this place, I may have been more tolerant of the state of the rooms and bathrooms, but we in fact paid about 80 for a double room, and 140 for a 4 person room. The rooms were run-down (towel holder broken, socket open, old, unsafe  extension sockets everywhere) and not terribly clean.

The location is ok, but the whole setup feels dodgy. I contacted the police about the hotel's request to Whatsapp us our ID cards. I also wrote to the hotel to register a complaint, but they simply have not replied.

Avoid this place

The check-in procedure was poorly organised and when it didn't work, staff were unhelpful, or difficult to get hold of. We were instructed to Whatsapp a picture of our ID cards in order to receive an entry code. We have subsequently found out that it is not legal to request guests to do this.

We booked 2 rooms for one night to attend a family party. Both rooms were grubby and stank of cigarette smoke. TVs were listed as available in all rooms -one did not have TV. Inside the cupboards it was dirty. I found a shard of broken glass on the floor. Carpets were stained and dirty. Safety looked dubious. We were staying on the 5th floor; a fire or obstruction on the steep narrow stairs would have meant that you would not be able to get out. Wiring looked unsafe. 

Other guests we encountered who were leaving or entering the building were similarly unimpressed.

Avoid this place at all costs. It is gross, and you will not be properly assisted when you encounter problems.

I don't recommend this place: Dirty, uncomfortable, almost no dishes, very steep stairs to climb. We won't come back.

Dirty, smelly hotel. Not taken care off by managem

This is a low budget hotel located in the center of The Hague.  If you keep your expectations LOW, you will not be too disappointed.  When we got to the room, the smoke/fire alarm had been taken off the ceiling and the battery taken out.  This was likely because the battery needed replacement and kept beeping. The TV remote was also out of batteries.  In addition, there was only 1/2 a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom (for four people) and very threadbare and old towels.  Finally, the "kitchen" sink faucet was loose and came off several times.  HOWEVER, the hotel staff was relatively responsive to all our complaints and made a great effort to fix what needed fixing.  A plumber was sent to fix the sink, toilet paper and batteries as well as extra towels were provided, and overall they were very responsive to our needs.  I cleaned everything in the hotel room to ensure that it was clean (I bought the cleaning products at a nearby store) which is not typical of places that I have stayed in the past.  The rooms were NOT non-smoking and did smell rather strongly of smoke and pot (which is legal in the Netherlands).  The Hotel is very conveniently located in front of a tram stop, and quite close to downtown.  If they fixed things up a bit the Hotel would be great - but likely not nearly as inexpensive.  If you don't mind a dingy, low-budget hotel in the City Center, this hotel certainly has its advantages.

Very convienent to the city center.

I got a message 12 hours before arriving that I would be relocated to the beach. That was not possible for me, but a compromise was made as I got a room closer to my friend whom I was there to meet. Everything was fine really and I didn't expect much for that price anyway.
