We have stayed at the De Guasco over 15 times for the Christmas Markets and once in the summer, its in a great location bang in the centre of the town, the markets are less than 5 minutes walk away and the Christmas parade passes just yards away from the hotel, the owners Theo and Sandy are a great couple and Theo is a michelin star chef so the food is great, breakfast is included in the price of your stay which is buffet style but there is plenty to choose from, the rooms are basic and a bit run down but they are doing the repairs slow but sure, the down side of the hotel is they allow people to smoke in the bar and it gets a bit much when the bar is full and it does get a bit noisy at night, there is parking but not many spaces but there is a big car park across the road, 11 euros a day. A good place to stay if your not to fussy and room 7 is massive.
