We stayed in Studio B (2nd floor) fwhile in Rotterdam for North Sea Jazz. Location is excellent, very handy for transport by train, metro and trams, and just around the corner from the wonderful Markethall and cube houses. Shopping and dining all around. The front door lock is on a strong spring - keep turning and maybe a wiggle or two and it does open. As others have said, the stairs are steep, narrow and twisting, so large suitcases would be difficult. We had no real trouble with "carry-on" luggage. The interior is really nice - spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, plenty of towels and storage, well equipped kitchen, and two good tv sets with some UK channels. Shower easy to use. No air-con, but the windows all open, and the blackout blinds work well to keep out light and heat. Powerful fan provided to cool rooms. (Heaters supplied for colder months.) The little balcony was a lovely place to sit and people-watch in the cafes below. We really appreciated the welcome gifts, including nespresso pods, wine, beer, coke, nuts, crisps and chocolate! Communications with owner were excellent. Highly recommended for 3 or four people.
