Bed and breakfast Joy

We have just returned from 3 nights at B&B Joy. When on a sightseeing holiday we want friendly, clean and comfortable accommodation in a good location and this is exactly what is provided. We booked the Superior room, which is on the first floor and the largest of the three available rooms, I believe. Yes, the stairs are steep and if you have a physical disability that hinders movement perhaps this accommodation wouldn't suit. However, this is typical of small hotels, guest houses in traditional older properties having stayed many times in Noordwijk since the late 1980s with 40 school children in tow! Here is what you get: Off street parking if you have your own/hire car 3 minute walk to seafront & 15 minute stroll to main shopping strip Light & airy with very large window, nets and curtains; overlooking rear garden area - NOT on the front so no possibility of traffic noise! Twin beds - very comfortable & slept like logs En suite with shower - plenty of hot water at a stable temperature; towel change once during our stay Wardrobe / storage - very ample, plenty of hangers and drawers Seating - two cushioned cane chairs & coffee table. Comfy for a read. TV with BBC channels! Excellent fast wi-fi (Hint - the code is on the room welcome / information card) Tea & coffee making facilities (Hint - the milk is powdered and is in stick form but creams coffee well!) A friendly host - a typical warm Dutch welcome and throughout our stay. An excellent, hearty breakfast - eggs, meats, cheeses, several varieties of bread, fruit, yoghurt, tea (good selection) or coffee. Here is what you DON'T get: A large bill! Via booking.com was about 55GBP per night including tourist tax - excellent value. Could it be improved? Our only suggestion would be for the owner to try to arrange the breakfast dining for 3 tables of 2, rather than 1 for 4 + 1 for 2. Presently 2 couples share one large table. A flower arrangement does divide each couple's space but is not ideal. Having said that, it does not downgrade our excellent rating!
