Boat Opoe Sientje

Whilst transporting a boat down the Rhine, we stopped in Nijmegen for the evening before continuing our journey down river. This was the perfect place to spend the night for some drinks and food. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the interior decor filled with interesting trinkets and artefacts meant that in every corner there was something to catch your eye. The staff were very friendly and accommodating when we realised - quite late - that we hadn't eaten, and they rustled up some lovely platters of breads, bitterballen and other local delicacies - even making a separate vegetarian spread for me! A real hidden gem that is worth a visit
