Lovingly restored old hotel with warm, welcoming staff. Wonderful breakfast. If you don’t mind the stairs, the top floor of the hotel has great views. Pretty part of town, yet close to public transport and the historic centre too.

This hotel was just so lovely, from the time we arrived we were made to feel so welcome and comfortable. The rooms are spacious and very clean, with all the facilities you would need, mini bar, fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, bathroom products.
The hotel itself dates back to  early 1900's but the decor and detail are still fresh today and beautifully preserved. It is within walking distance to the central train station, bus station and town centre and all the lovely restaurants.
The breakfast is continental but with lots of choice and plenty of it. On the few occasions we had to leave early they made a packed breakfast for us which always included a lovely hand written note.
I cannot praise the staff and this hotel enough and would certainly visit again.
Special mention to Brent who went above and beyond for us, he just brightened up our day whenever we saw him.

Classy old world European hotel.  Tastefully decorated with modern comfortable room with a nice shower and mini-bar.  The friendly staff was helpful with parking and shopping suggestions.  We enjoyed the lounge for a relaxing visit.  You can imagine yourself in another era

On arrival, the lady in reception dealt superbly with issue arising out of Covid regulations, providing excellent customer service whilst adhering to enforced protocols.  Later on the gentlemen working the bar- very reasonably priced -  could not have been more helpful. 

Hotel was very comfortable and in quiet location albeit  little more than five minutes walk from main railway station.  

Would not hesitate to stay here again if visiting Arnhem

I have just stayed at this wonderful hotel with 9 of my family.  We were there for the commemoration of the Battle of Arnhem.  I cannot speak highly enough of the hotel and it's staff.  The rooms had all the facilities one would expect.  They were comfortable and maintained in a traditional Dutch style which was such a change from so many newer, larger hotels that are impersonal and all the same.  The breakfast was great, everything you would expect, and particularly nice that we could all eat together in the Kitchen!  On top of all this, I have to mention the staff.  They were all extremely efficient and friendly.  They also went out of their way to help in the middle of the night when one of our party was taken ill and had to go to hospital.  This was above and beyond the call of duty!  A very special weekend.  The commemorations were only enhanced by the hospitality of this hotel.

Stayed here in April 2019 with a large group of friends for a four night stay and by chance our stay coincided with King’s Day in The Netherlands. The hotel itself is a beautiful building full of charming architectural features and well decorated. Our room, room 7 was on the first floor with a balcony looking out onto a small river and a park beyond. It also had a good size TV with BBC1 and BBC2 as well as other European channels. That room was large with a good sized en-suite shower and toilet. Breakfast was cold buffet style continental breakfast ( cereals, meats , yogurts etc) with unlimited excellent coffee and a lovely choice of breads. The hotel sits in a quiet residential area but only a few minutes walk from Arnhem city centre and the railways station. It was a great choice and really recommended. Car parking is a pain but for €15 a day ( arranged by the hotel but a local council charge ) we were always able to park in the zone outside the hotel. Finally it must be said that all of the staff were wonderful and so helpful. Dankie. 

We stayed here for 3 nights, the staff was wonderful, the room was wonderful, the breakfast was wonderful [As a note, we were on the 3rd floor, room 18, great views, carried our own bags, but the staff offered to do it for us].  It is a short walk from the central station and there are restaurants within walking distance.  The Openlucht Museum was a great day trip [bus stop right across the street].  Hoge Veluwe National Park is also an easy beautiful day trip [bus from Arnhem Central] and there are free bicycles for use within the park at the park entry.

REMEMBER; if you train into/out of Arnhem with an anon OV-Chipkaart to Check-In/Out at the CORRECT Service provider [When leaving for Utrecht we mistakenly Checked-In on Arriva.  The NS conductor discovered this right after departure and could have fined us, but he kindly let us get off at the next stop, Check-In with NS to get back on the next train to Utrecht].  Other than this the OV Chipkaart worked great, it is very convenient, and I would use it again.

I needed to find a last minute hotel after arriving in Arnhem and stumbled across the Hotel Molendal. What a lovely little gem! The price was decent and it was walking distance from the train station, so off I went. 

The hotel appears to be a converted mansion. It is cozy and quaint, tucked away on a quiet street just off the main road. The guest checking in ahead of me was quite put out about the lack of elevator, but that wasn't an issue for me. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. There's no restaurant there, but there's a little breakfast room and bar (which I didn't try out, but it looked lovely and inviting!)

The room was not particularly big, but not cramped, either. For one person traveling alone, I'd say it was exactly right. Probably would be ok for a couple, too, as long as you weren't planning to spend a lot of time in the room. The armoire was a bit awkwardly placed with regards to the door, but there weren't many other options, so not a big deal. There was a little coffee station in the room on an antique serving trolley. Very cute! Would've been nice with a few more options (I'm not a fan of Nestlé, so didn't use the coffee, and there was only one type of tea) but the idea of it was nice, at least.

The bathroom was fairly typical. Had everything necessary and nothing more. The shower took quite some time to heat up and was never hot, so if you like your showers hot, that could be a problem. But I got it warm enough to be comfortable.

Speaking of comfortable, the bed was perfect! Not too soft, but not hard like a board, either. Exactly right for my liking. And there were several different types of pillows, too, so I was able to find one that was comfortable.

Check out the next day was quick and easy. I'd paid the night before, so just dropped off the key (they use real keys!) with a different, equally friendly receptionist, and off I went. 

I could definitely see staying there again if I'm back in Arnhem.

Overall really nice old hotel. The owners/staff were very friendly and attentive and the hotel had great amenities. It was also in a really nice area - well located within walking distance to central Arnhem.

Although this hotel is not fancy, it is a beauty because of the authenticity of the building. Furniture is in Line with the building, so nothing modern, except for the tv. Bathroom is clean and basic, but perfectly okey. The personnel is friendly and doing their best to make the accommodation clientfriendly. Breakfast is ok: fruit, some vegies, yoghurt, bread, cheese, meat, boiled eggs, sweets.
