The Innercity Hotel in Dordrecht is ok, but could definitely be improved in many ways.
My biggest bug-bear was the fact that, although sharing a room with a friend, they could only supply us with one room key card (the type that also powers the lights etc).
This gave me a feeling of being 'trapped', e.g. one morning I woke up early and thought I might like to go for a walk for some fresh air but couldn't really leave my companion with no power! (the key card is also used for the front door, you wouldn't want to rely on a member of staff be around to let you back in).
It seems that this Hotel is sort of run on a low budget (not that it's particularly cheap!), with reception staff that do the bare essentials!
That said, I've stayed in worse, and the breakfast wasn't too bad.

Good position, clean room, adequate breakfast.

This property from Steigenberger group should belong to Holiday Inn. The bathrooms are slightly bigger than an airplane loo! The people in this hotel are just rude unfriendly unlike other Steigenberger properties. Avoid it, I would highly recommend going to the Sheraton Hotel across the street which has class and parking.

Mr and Mrs

We recently stayed at the Inner City Hotel during a tour of Holland. On arrival, we were met by friendly, helpful, young staff, although from the street, the hotel looked as if it was shut. The rooms were satisfactory, but the foam mattresses were not so comfortable to sleep on as they were balanced precariously on the bed bases. Breakfast was OK and the standards of housekeeping were good, but the lift was the slowest I've travelled in for quite a long time.

A well-located hotel for the centre of Dordrecht

Helpful young man on check in.  We had the last room at 129 EU was not good value.  The beds had high mattresses which slid off the base. The room was of generous size but had a low beam running through it. We had a train to catch so missed breakfast.  The helpful young man said there would a food pack for us and there wasn't.

Weird beds

Let's start with the positive side: the staff is nice, the wifi is great and it's a 5-minute walk from the train station. Let's move on to the negative side: we went to this hotel with friends, it was raining from the window in our room, which resulted in wet moquet, they didn't put the new foam bottles in us on the 2nd and 3rd day and I had to ask them, I didn't see phon. My friends slept with their feet higher than their head because the floor was crooked. The breakfast was discreet - cereal, milk, tea, yogurt, bread, cheese, salumi, eggs and bacon, fruit and mini croissant.

The hotel with the wrong rooms

I reserved the hotel some weeks before my intended stay via booking in die time. When I reached the hotel it became apparent that the hotel was overbooked.
I showed my conformation in writing. Hotel staff did not apologize nor did it start any action.

As I am not for Dordrecht I asked for support and a staff member called a hotel in another part of the city. Hotel staff explained my in short words how to go there. I had a lot of luggage and did not receive any support. Furthermore was the other hotel more expensive than the primary scheduled one.

Once I had a far better experience in similar situation: The hotel employee apologized first, offered a tea organized a hotel and ordered a taxi for which he paid the bill. Furthermore, he compensated the price difference.

Overbooking may happen, but hotel staff ought to give a better support than that of this particular hotel. In my case there was lack of professionalism and service mentality.

Take lessons and try harder!

My employer's office is only 1 minute walk away from the hotel, but my 2nd shower stay brought me the same problems and more. Welcome Klein, I can barely park for more than 2 people in the entrance area and those were the good pages. I report from double experience, after the first stay I informed my colleagues and they spoke to someone from the hotel. Supposedly all the problems were solvable and I only had to talk to the staff (especially WiFi and shower noise) but my 2nd shower stay brought me the same problems and more.

Tip: Go to another hotel.

In some ways it was an embarrassing experience; from the abuse of minimalism to the rather unsuccessful attempt at innovation. I found in the room a completely disconnected floor, probably made of wooden beams, hidden by a gray carpet. The whole second floor accuses of an obvious slope, which has never been seen before. The irregularity of the floor along with the slope generate a slight sense of vertigo in walking. The sink is placed in the room, and not in the bathroom. Everything that the sink does not capture ends up on the carpet, a situation that I find illegal from the point of view of the envelope.

It's embarrassing.

First problem on arrival: I booked with Venus 3 nights at a certain price, I get a higher bill of 75 euros, due to the addition of a third bed for our daughter. I note that the booking was for 2 adults plus a child, the very nice girl who hosted me goes to consult with a colleague, then she tells me that she understands but there's nothing she can do. I drink the bitter cup because I don't want to ruin the holidays from the first day, because the girl is tired and the room is beautiful and big, and it looks new from the factory.

A good missed opportunity.

The place is really comfortable, all new and extremely technological, like lights that light up by themselves on the way. There is a nice parking lot and breakfast in the morning is plentiful and varied. The staff is very polite.
