The rooms are small, one-bedroom, with no windows, only a glass matte door. The second floor can only be climbed by an elevator (it's not the elevator, it's a lift). The monasteries are very small, in three days we cleaned once. In the evening - one battery, a small cabinet, two separate beds, no safe, no air conditioner, there is a ventilator. Of the cosmetic appliances only a gel for showering.

It's a village hotel.

The hotel is very characteristic, a typical Dutch accommodation! It is located right in front of a canal with the elevator bridge for boats to pass through! Breakfast is not a buffet but pleasant anyway. The only thing is that it is not varied, as they always serve the same things. Free parking on site easy to find. Great location to visit the nearby Gouda, Rotterdam, The Hague, etc. The room was unfortunately small and kept not too well. In the room there were always one or two spiders! On the other hand, it was not possible to leave those who made the windows because it was hot.

Characteristic hotel at a good price

Hotel Over de Brug is a very convenient comfortable stay. Convenient walking distance to everything Haastrecht (I was able to take a relaxing walk throughout Haastrecht from here). The breakfast was very Dutch (the way I like it) and I was asked if I wanted it more North American - excellent coffee and tea in a bright dining room. The room was small but met my needs, beds are comfortable (I slept like a rock.) I wish however, there was a full length mirror and the soap dispenser was not working. Over-all 9.5 out of 10.

Comfortable and Accomodating

Great hotel, modern and well presented, situated in a pretty and quiet small town, right on the canal and next to a bridge. The rooms are simply decorated with plain white bedding and rustic wooden furniture but have a modern contemporary feel.  They are clean and airy.

The staff are very friendly, as were all the customers in the bar on the night we stayed.  

We had an evening meal of schnitzel and satay chicken, both of which were lovely.  Musical entertainment was a traditional Dutch band who sang both traditional Dutch folk and English songs.

We were made to feel so welcome at the over de brug and we've really enjoyed our stay.  Highly recommended.

First class

Stayed at this hotel on a very hot day is horrible. We're baked inside, no airconditioning or electric fan. The room is very, very small - is not made for travelers with big suitcase. Gladly we only have small bags

Our room is facing to a street and to restaurant terrace of hotel, while the windows are open- as it is so hot inside we have a lot of noise. Staying here on a saturday night - we have noise of young people yelling, laughing till after midnight. Imagine how much noise it causes which is hard to sleep

Bathroom is very small as well. The toilet bowl is auwful - an old fashioned style and the water tank for flushing it stay's on running. They should fix that

For the price of 62€ from booking.com this wasn't worth. It said they have public parking, but the public parking is complete full when we arrived, we park the car two blocks from the hotel, quite far to walk if you have luggage. We never experience such a terrible hotel in Netherlands.

Terrible room

We eat very well, indoors or outdoors, depending on the weather! The entrances are quite plentiful even too much and it's a shame because we are no longer hungry for the main course.

dinner is very good

The location of this hotel is perfect for being in this area. It is close to some great sights and lovely walks. The service was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was always waiting for us at the table at the time we indicated we would sit down. It was fresh and delicious. The beer was cold and the wine was tasty. Whilst the room was a little small, it was clean and comfortable. The lift was a a bonus and much appreciated. The meal and bar areas were quite homey and welcoming and the view of the bridge was entertaining when it was raised.

Over a bridge not too far.

Everything was wonderful - the staff was really nice and what a nice place to just relax  . Enjoyed running along the canals - saw lots of animals - peaceful place to just relax- the breakfast was extra but no big deal and the restaurant was convenient 

Love this place

The hotel is located near the canal bridge. On the first floor there's a restaurant with the Mashlin stars, the hotel is on the second floor. Upstairs only by elevator. The view from the window is excellent. There's a place to walk. Free parking. Near Gauda.

Quiet and calm

Very good hotel, simple friendly and warm, a real soul. A pleasant and very professional staff, we also ate very well at the restaurant. The price ratio is excellent. We can only recommend it.
