This lovely bnb has 4 rooms, all looking out on a beautiful garden. Tastefully furnished and very comfortable. Friendly and helpful hosts and an excellent breakfast with all the trimmings. Ideally located in Enkhuizen with secure bicycle parking. 

Good localisation, at walking distance from the station, harbour and town center.

Good room, with all you need (kettle, teapot and cup, choice of teas and coffees, glass, wifi, telly, hair dryer, soaps and shampoo), good bed with warm eiderdown, table and chair, armchair, huge window with view to the shadowed garden, where you can sit and relax in a peaceful and secure surrounding.

It was clean but not spick and span (the window could have been cleaner, there was dust over the liquid soap dispenser and in the bathroom socket, worse: I found a used diaper in a plastic bag under the heating).

Excellent full breakfast with homemade spelt bread and others, croissant, egg, meat, cheese, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, jam, honey, typical Dutch granulate chocolate, fresh orange juice etc.

Good welcome, more B&B atmosphere than hotel - only 4 rooms, all with direct entrance from the garden.

If you like it quiet, this is the place for you

Gorgeous place to stay

We wanted to like the Hotel Recuerdos, which has a bed & breakfast atmosphere and a quaint backyard, with an array of comfortable chairs spread among a canopy of foliage. Alas, the dimly-lit room in which we stayed was hardly fit for habitation, appearing as though it was last renovated when Louis Beel served as Prime Minister of the Netherlands. The bathroom was small and dirty, with several errant hairs in the shower and on the toilet; the mattress sagged in the middle, and was adorned with two curiously over-sized pillows and a stained & grainy mattress pad, which when pulled back revealed a rough fitted sheet with another long hair attached. Perhaps the worst was that the faded, stained carpet smelled of mold, and the room remained hot and damp throughout the July evening, given a lack of air conditioning. A chorus of hungry mosquitoes and one very large and restless moth buzzing about the room provided a soundtrack to our generally sleepless night. Barring a gut renovation, we won't be back.
