38 reviewsDroomHotel used to be a regular base for my M/C trips to Assen some 10 years ago. It was run by Dick & Sandra back then as well. The rooms are very pleasant with an extremely comfortable bed. The real pleasure of this place is the welcome and the food. Dick is a fantastic Chef and with me real menu offered we left it to Dick to chose our meals. We had three nights there and were served a stunning meal on all three occasions. The Lamb Shank was to die for. My wife and I took our cycles with us and we managed to get out on both days. Yes the area is very flat and yes the scenery may be considered bland but you will not find a safer place to cycle. The cycle paths and the signage are the best of any country I've cycled in. The map we were given was excellent and highlighted Cycle paths and Cafe's. A light lunch is Rolde is recommended, but make sure you get back to Anderen in time for dinner. Breakfast is basic and continental but ask Dick to make you some Chocolate Bread. We will be back next year for more of the same.
