Loved it here would come back when I’m in amsterdam again. It’s such a great place and it’s literally in the middle of the center you can easily go anywhere from here by tram. If you’re looking for a cheap place I would say this is the place to be in amsterdam

Owner ripped us off on the extra taxes, never changed the towels for the hole 4 day stay no breakfast just cheap snacks and water

We really enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam. The accommodation was a little bit out of the centre but it was right near a tram stop and in a goid location. We made use of the weekend train and tram ticket which we purchased at the airport and thought it was good value for money and got us to most places. Gerrard was a really nice guy and passed on loads of knowledge about Amsterdam and made us feel very welcome. We would stay there again.

Weekend with friends in amsterdam

Spent two nights here recently on a trip in Europe. The owner, Gerard, was both very helpful and very friendly, always making sure we had everything we needed for our stay in our rooms, and always made sure we had plenty of room amenities, snacks and water. The room was clean and comfortable as were the bathroom facilities. 

Great location with easy access to the city center of Amsterdam as well. Tram stop was just a few blocks away and goes directly into Dam Square and other sites in the city. Neighborhood was also more quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the city. 

Would suggest to anyone who wants to stay a little out of the downtown area, but still have easy access to downtown. Enjoyed my stay and certainly would look to book with Gerard again next time I am passing through the Amsterdam area.

Cozy spot with easy access to city center

When booking at a place called 'Bed and Breakfast' one naturally assumes breakfast is in the deal. Not so. Change the name then.
Having got over that disappointment, the facilities, though clean and ok, are not what we expected. The hotel has just two rooms but you have to share the shower/loo and small room with a sink. Not ideal. Also rooms were not serviced so beds not made, coffee etc not refilled (but available on request after 9am when proprietor arrived - from 6pm to 9am there was no-one around at all).
On the plus side, our room was very nice and well appointed with many pleasant extras such as guide books and DVDs to inform and assist our sight seeing activities. The proprietor is welcoming, provides a good coffee, maps, tram info etc. The location is handy for the tram, a short ride into the centre and is in a quiet area.
On balance, would not stay here again because a) not en suite b) nobody around, just in case, at night so felt a bit vulnerable.

What you see is not what you get!

Calm place not far from city center. Big rooms are neat and comfortable, nicely equipped with all necessary amenities. Owner is very friendly and welcoming, always willing to help, give advice and make you great coffee. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Nice place and great owner

I've been there last week with my friend. We met there Gerard, the owner, a person af good manners, kind, who gave information of any kind, always available to us that we made it much simpler our stay in Amsterdam. Thank you my friend, we see you again.

A cute bed and breakfast near Vondelpark

As we arrived later evening noone has met at the hotel. Actually this is not a hotel at all: this is just a "bad & breakfast". Dirty, unfriendly personnel, expensive. Never ever stay in such a place again!

The worst hotel ever

Have never ever left a review before on here, but felt like I had to on this occasion to warn others.Nobody there upon arrival, had no idea we were even coming that day so made to wait outside. Card machine "not working" but reading other reviews this appears to have been the case for some time. Extra fees incurred at our own expense to get more cash out. No explanation offered.Room was clean enough but as non smokers did smell heavily of cigarettes.Worst of all however was the owner who was extremely rude, obnoxious, ignorant and very aggressive. Appalled at his behaviour towards a paying guest.Would obviously never stay here again and really want to warn other travellers that this place is somewhere to stay well away from!!!!!
