A friend recommended this B&B, and it was a great place to stay. The owner lives with his family in to upper floors of this canal house, and I stayed in the canal view room on the ground floor. I was able to check in when I arrived in late morning. The owner kindly stored one of my suitcases, which I did not need during me pre-cruise stay in Amsterdam. The room has a comfortable bed, a stocked bathroom, a table with two chairs and offers coffee, cream and other amenities. He brought breakfast to my room each day, with delicious fresh fruit, croissants and rolls, a boiled egg, jams, butter, honey and muesli. I never turned on the TV so can't report on that. The location was great, with many restaurants and shops in the immediate vicinity and only short walks to any of the central city sites. The owner will make recommendations if you wish. My only advice is if you are there in the hot summer, close the room-darkening drapes while you are gone during the day, as the west sun outside the windows will warm the room.
