I been there during my trip in Amsterdam, and it was really terrible.

When i made the reservation thourght Booking.com i made it because i was looking for a single room with a bathroom inside and i saw this hotel like a good option only to spend one night.

My surprise when i get it was a single room( small room like a mousetrap) with a shared bathroom really disgusting for the same price that i paid in others hotel during my trip in Amsterdam.

The guy when i made the c/i told me that the c/o it would be at 11 in the morning and at 10:55 someone came to my room and knocked at the door really scary.

Definitely i dont suggest this hotel at all!!!

Terrible and misleading advertising!!!!

The room was clearly a storage room rearranged as bedroom.
Everything was dirty (the bed was full of yellow stains, floor/moquette wet, walls with stains, the table...everything) and a bit dangerous: electric cables were open and broken, obiouvlsy rearranged by the staff with holes in the walls and rudimental pieces. I had to charge my phone in other places around the city.
Fornitures was definely old and broken too, with little pieces of it on the floor

I had a single room, and a staff member pretended to come in, while i was sleeping, to be sure there wasn't other people in there, checking under the bed and in the closet. The are people drunk in the stairs all the night, and you break into my room in the afternoon for this? Ridiculous and  REALLY disappoining.
Other stuff members was "ok" expect someone who laughed for my english and then helped, a bit arrogantly

I have been in Amterdam a LOT of times, i already been in hotels and hostels with 1 star, but never been in a place like this.
For a service like that i would NEVER pay what i paid

The only good thing is its close to the city center, so if you stay there for only one night...it's ok, good luck

Probably the worst place i ever been in Amsterdam

The hotel is basic, you get what you pay for. friendly polite staff, clean beds and rooms, we had no problems at all, stairs are steep so would not recommend to anyone with walking problems, none smoking but didnt matter as plenty of coffeeshops around the hotel, great location to the shops, bars, and coffeeshops, and tourist attractions. we had 3 beds in one room with our own private shower and toilet, plenty of room for all 3 of us. i would recommend this hotel as we will be booking here again on our next visit. no tv in the rooms, 3 plug sockets.

Nice basic hotel friendly staff.

Otel location is well👍🏻 close every main areas. Room was clean, Turkish officer was very friendly. No breakfast but it is ok because you can find many cafe and Restaurant nearly. Important was location and clear. All is ok thanks👍🏻

Very close to Dam

This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. My single room measured 2x2 metres. Just enough room for a narrow bed. No other furniture apart from a bedside table. Everything was scruffy or broken. The stairs up are very steep and dangerous. If there was ever a fire you would never get out. I can't understand why the City of Amsterdam has given this hotel a licence. 

Don't stay here! 

From the staff that threatens to kick their customers out on the rainy street at 2am to their question-like- substance stains on the bedding, this hotel is hands down the worst hotel I have stayed at. The lack of privacy, the sheer disraguard for anytype of significant upkeep of the room, and (especially) the lack of respect towards the hotel guests by the staff just adds to this already horrible experience. I hope you listen to this advice so you don’t ruin your Amsterdam experience with this disgrace of an establishment.

I made a TripAdvisor account just so I can relay my frustration with this establishment and their staff.

Separate shared toilet on the landing, so small can only sit sideways, and broken flush. Very step winding stairs. Very basic rooms. Heating in high with no way to adjust. Light in shower kept going out. No mixer taps, low standard decor, quite rough. Would not go there again. Staff were friendly though. 

Worst standard we've seen, but cheapest

Stayed in hotel galerji quite nice hotel all the basics are there. The staff all very good and kept the place clean.
Will return
Easy and comfortable and lots of sights to see .
The hotel location is perfect to walk and see all amenities

Amsterdam what can I say

Location good, receptionist staff really friendly. Rooms basic, (in room 3) needs a paint job on walls and ceiling but carpets clean, toilet and shower clean and working fine and we had a toilet opposite in the hall too. Would defo stay here again! Is a 1 star, but last year I stayed at a 2 star hotel which was even more run down, shower broken and had mice in the rooms, so couldn’t be worse than that! So I would give this a 2/5 star :) saw people complaining about the stairs but all hotels in Dam have steep stairs like that..

Could be a 2 star, perfect for us

Room has everything you need, beds comfortable, bathroom has all basics nice size, bit run down but that's not a major issue. Friendly staff, stairs a bit daunting. after reading bad reviews before coming I was expe a lot worse than what it is
