Rosewood Amsterdam

I’ve long been a fan of Rosewood Hotels, and the new Rosewood Amsterdam reaffirms why. Though it has only been open for a few months (and some early reviews may reflect natural growing pains) my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel itself is stunning. Art is woven throughout the property, and I highly recommend seeking out the two extraordinary clock art pieces, which are emblematic of Rosewood’s thoughtful, curated design. The rooms and bedding were exactly what I’ve come to expect from the brand: comfortable, stylish, and far superior to what you’ll find in many larger chains. Dining is another strength here. The restaurant is first-rate, offering the kind of refined yet inviting experience that makes staying in for a meal just as rewarding as venturing out into Amsterdam. Staff throughout the hotel were consistently attentive and polished, elevating the sense of hospitality. I was in Amsterdam for a wedding hosted at the hotel, and the event was handled flawlessly. The bride’s mother commented more than once on how exceptional the staff had been in planning and executing every detail. For my part, the wedding dinner for 150 guests was elegant and delicious. In every respect, Rosewood Amsterdam delivered exactly what I’ve come to expect from Rosewood: beauty, sophistication, and truly world-class service.
