The most stunning house. Views from the roof top of the Himalayan peaks are incredible. The family who own the guest house are very hospitable and will cook lovely fresh food (grown in the garden) everyday! Rooms were very comfortable with solar heated showers and fans. You really feel at home here.

Beautiful stay

Peaceful place with a beautiful garden, on top of a foresty hill, great views at 360 of the surrounding lakes and mountains. Very clean room and private bathroom. Tasty quality food. Kind hosts. Excellent price for the quality of the stay. Well worth the detour 😊

Fabulous experience !

I stumbled across this place in 2010 while walking back to Pokhara from the far end of Begnas Tal.  Unfortunately, my schedule meant I was only able to stay for one night, but I always planned to return.

Fast forward to 2020.  Serious snowfall forced me to turn around while trekking in the Manang area.  After an exhausting few days of breaking trail in deep snow, followed by some hot and dusty days lower down as we tacked West towards Begnas, I once again stumbled across the sign to Rupa View Guest House.

This time I was able to rest and relax for a few days.  The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.  The water is hot - so long as you time it right (solar).  The food is fresh and delicious, particularly the fish curry.  

It's location, 50m down a track through the forest, is perfect.  Surrounded by rolling misty foothill country, with flashes of the fluorescent feathers of subtropical bird life all around and snowcapped peaks in the background.  

The pace of life seems peaceful, and I whiled away a blissful few days here, lying in the garden listening to Test Match Special mainly!

Highly recommended.

As a side note, and because it seems not to have a TripAdvisor entry yet, I'd also recommend one of their near neighbors - 'Uncle's Place/House' as a nice sunny spot for an afternoon drink.  Up on the ridge across the main road from Rupa View, it's a new place specialising in fresh fruit juices.  Coffee is good too, though currently he's brewing it in a mocha pot while saving up to buy a machine!  No nonsense well priced snacks.  Lovely guy.

Tranquil Himalayan foothill hideaway

Located in the middle of a mostly original nature, on an anchovies, this guest house is ideally situated to let the soul glitter until the sun in every Rupa lake shines brightly. My wife and I enjoyed the fantastic view at sunrise with a mostly clear view of the roof of the world (Annapurna etc.) and the humble fruit level of our flowering balcony or the typically domestic flower roof, watching the numerous bird species until the sun in every Rupa lake glittered brightly. A charming little hotel run by a very smiling family and with little care for its tourists. A little far from the lake but it is all the more charming because it enjoys a breathtaking view of the surroundings and allows you to relax away from the hustle and bustle. Many walking trails. Excellent meals prepared with the vegetables grown on site. Modest but very well maintained rooms. Recommended to refresh after a trek or simply to relax.

I got chance to stay here.very quite surrounding.best view of rupa lake and mountains.open terrace green everywhere.good food and cooperative people is best thing of this place.i do yoga here wonderful experience.thank u

Homely environment

The House middle of the jungle. Birds every where.....natural sounds. 
Mr. Thap  is Very helpful man ! I was there for one day, was so tired they provide message therapist. I enjoy a very much.

Rooms are maybe not the fanciest but this place, the garden, the balcony, the roof top, the view and finally Sumitra the owner, a fantastic human being, are unforgettable. There is a price, true, but it worth it!

Paradise 

What a splendid place. Delightful owner, lovely food, comfortable rooms. The panoramic views from the rooftop terrace are simply breathtaking. For the price it's a truly amazing deal. Slightly reluctant to give it the glowing review it deserves as I want to be able to stay there again and again and would hate it to be as permanently full as it deserves. However, I shall place the well being of the serenely delightful owner above my own selfish desires and warmly advise you to stay here.

Heavenly himalayan hideout

Classic Newari style two storey house with flat roof, from which we had superb sunrise views of the Anapurna range.  Our room also has a great view of Rupa Lake and the wooded hillsides around it.  The room was comfortable and clean, with a good bathroom.  Easy walk into the community forest with great birdlife, and across to the ridge overlooking nearby Begnas Lake.  The husband and wife team who host the guesthouse are very friendly and helpful, providing delicious freshly cooked food and advice on walks and treks in the local area.  The owner is a local community leader and was instrumental in saving the nearby community forest and plans are afoot to restock it with deer and other wildlife. He can also arrange treks and guided birdwatching walks.
