The location is amazing. lt’s convenient for exploring old Patan. I had a healthy and tasty breakfast every morning on the rooftop patio. I really enjoyed my stay with the owner Shailendra and his family at Tajaa Pha. They were very welcoming, friendly and helpful.I would recommend this home to everyone, and I will certainly come back again.

Tajaa Pha was such an amazing experience. I stayed here for 10 weeks during my study abroad and we all felt like we were living in luxury. The staff was so nice and helped us navigate the city. Our rooms were very spacious and had a beautiful view looking over the pokhari (pond)!

The Best Guest House in Patan!

Best location and hospitality, Great Wifi and Breakfast. Amazing view. Sweet Family run the business. Would recommend staying there. Cooking classes, Walking tours and great informatiom about the city. 

Best Place in Kathmandu

The most charming family run hotel! Cozy, great breakfast, caring hosts and the most beautiful view from the rooftop. The area by the Pimbahal Pond in Patan is lively at daytime and evening, bit quiet at night. A wonderful place to stay. I highly Recommend Tajaa Pha!

Charming in Patan!

Tajaa Pha Heritage Home was the best part of my trip to Nepal. The home is very welcoming, with hospitable and kind hosts and a stunning terrace rooftop view. I looked forward to a delicious breakfast every single morning on the roof, and could not have been happier with my stay at Tajaa Pha! The rooms have very comfy beds, and pretty views from the balcony. I cannot speak highly enough of my stay, and hope I can return one day soon! If you are looking for a home away from home, Tajaa Pha is the place to be.

I really enjoyed my stay here. Shalendra and his family are very welcoming, helpful, and knowledgeable about the local area. The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and clean. The view is beautiful, and the location is convenient to explore the surrounding Patan area. The breakfast was the highlight of our stay (really nice Nepali Chia tea, coffee, yogurt, fruits, eggs, bread, juice). I would recommend to anyone! 10/10

It is difficult to add something new to the excellent guest reviews on Tajaa Pha: the nice atmosphere near the beautiful Pimbahal, the fantastic terrace on the rooftop, the delicious breakfast with home baked goodies, the well maintained clean room, the hot shower. It was my 4th stay in Kathmandu/Patan and it was the hotel where I felt most comfortable. Shailendra and his wife Amrita made me feel like home during my 3 weeks stay. In Tajaa Pha you get a lot more of Nepal and everyday life in Nepal than in most tourist hotels. I also learned a lot about Nepal during the breakfast talks with Shailendra. It certainly won't be the last time I stay at the Tajaa Pha.

A great long-term stay in Patan

We made Kathmandu our base for a month. We wanted a place that we could call home and know that when we return from any excursion, we had nice place to stay. We stayed at a fabulous Airbnb called Tajaa Pha the Heritage Home with a fabulous view from the balcony. The hosts, Shailendra and Amrita, were very friendly and helpful. We looked forward to a fabulous breakfast and coffee or tea with a view every morning.  Our room was very cozy with a comfortable bed. There is plenty of sites to see in this area, making it a great location for a stay in Lalitpur. It is close to a lot of interesting places and great places to eat. You can visit my images for our Airbnb to get more ideas about how fabulous it was. (My husband enjoying the view.)

we had a wonderful time during our stay at Tajaa Pha !
it was our first time in Nepal and we felt like if we were at home ! Shailendra was very caring and take really good care of us ! always smiling, with good tips and recommandation to explore Kathmandu, what no to miss etc…

The room is spacious, clean and comfortable, with the view right on the pond ! The street is calm and quiet which is really enjoyable after spending a day in the noisy and very lively city. 

And the real treat is the breakfast, that you can have on the rooftop. Delicious local food, with plenty of savor, perfect to start your day and feel fueled with a lot of energy ! 

I would 100% recommend staying at Tajaa Pha if you want a cosy, calm and friendly place to stay at Kathmandu.
