I stayed here for more than a month during my courses, nice staff and clean rooms, they have some rooms with kitchen facilities, useful for those staying for long periods .the only flaw is the school opposite.I recommend it

not far from the stupa

Our pilgrimage group had a very peaceful, comfortable stay at Hotel Norbu Sangpo. It is in a quiet neighborhood next to a monastery, where the only sound is the monks chanting in the morning. It is within easy walking distance of the stupa; many restaurants and cafes are nearby. The rooms and bathrooms are quite comfortable, spacious, and clean. There is a spacious garden area outside with tables and chairs, which is very pleasant for sitting and having tea or meals. The hotel gets plenty of sunlight. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, always eager to help with any request. We greatly enjoyed our stay and the warm hospitality of the hotel Definitely book Hotel Norbu Sangpo for your Boudha visit.

Peaceful atmosphere, warm hospitality

I have been to Nepal several times, and this hotel is one of the best. Located near the Boudha stupa yet it is far from the dusty streets.  It seems like a small paradise of its own tucked in a hidden corner.  The staff are kind, friendly and helpful, there is fast and cheap laundry service, the beds are heavenly and the sheets and towels are soft and thick, it stands quite apart from the other guest houses i have stayed in.  If you like to dine in the open, there is a nice lawn to have your meals in good weather.  The amenities in the room are good too with clean beds, solid wood furnitures and sufficient space and tables to lay out your stuff for a longer stay.  All in all, very satisfied.  Thank you.

Most comfortable stay i had in Nepal

The stay at the hotel was good, accompanied by the peaceful atmosphere and charming staff who were always attentive to our needs. 

The rooms were always kept neat and tidy by the hardworking staff and the beds and pillows were of utmost comfort. I can truly say it was one of the best sleeps I have had!

The breakfast was good. To be able to sit in the garden and enjoy a cup of tea in the morning is a great way to start off the day.

I would highly recommend this hotel to any travellers looking for a peaceful, restful and clean accommodation in the area.

Peaceful and charming

The rooms were bright, beds werr comfy, staffs were friendly and demonstrated excellent hospitality which made us all felt at home. Breakfast and meals were delicious too. It was my first time staying in Nepal and already I can't wait to come back again. Great work guys :)

Wonderful experience

Hotel Norba Sangpo is a wonderful hotel near Boudhanath Stupa; excellent location quiet and peaceful Service is Excellent staff is very attentive and genuine! Garden is very nice and perfect for enjoying some conversation with great food and tea. The rooms are excellent spacious bright clean and pleasant. Also for long stays very nice kitchennete on the upper floors. Very nice laundry service, and staff is excellent to answer questions one might have. Wonderful and Elegant

The windows in my room did not lock allowing access. When I first arrived there was no towels, toilet paper or bathroom toiletries. It took two days to get a towel. For the first 4days no breakfast, the cook was no there. The staff was nice but seemed to have no idea how to run a hotel. I stayed there 2 weeks and had my room cleaned 3 times. They do have nice staff and a friendly dog but that does not make up for my stay. I hope they can take this review and improve there property. I know of several people with similar experience.

A spacious design, with adequate facilities and caring staff. Very central and well located. 
Surrounded by a beautiful garden and graced with the sounds of children in the Monastery. 
Basically a guest house with few services and provisions, you still bring your own towels and toilet paper.
The house dog, whilst we cute needs to be put away at night!
Overall a good experience. 

Much to celebrate 

I stayed at this hotel 4 times, for a total of nearly 2 months. The rooms are extremely comfortable, with good beds, hot water, balconies, and a kitchen in most rooms. The garden is so lovely and eating breakfast in the sun in this quiet place makes the hectic Kathmandu experience so much better. The staff is the real highlight - such lovely, warm people who work so hard to make your stay as comfortable as possible. I also just love the location - Bouddha is my favorite part of Kathmandu and this hotel is just a few minutes from the Stupa but on a quiet side street, which makes all the difference. I also recommend you ask to meet to the hotel manager, he's the best!

Excellent location, wonderful staff

I was so pleased to stay here around 13 days in November. Rooms are clean and well-furnitured. Hot water is always available in the bathroom. The was an accident with the wather shortage in the whole district one morning, but the friendly stuff was running through the whole hotel providing visitor's with the bottled water. I was great pleaure to stay here and be served by the team of Hotel's manager Tsering Andmo. With best and warmest wishes for 2018 to Tsering la and her nice dilligant team and all the visitors of this lovely place!
