My booking was an overbooking, so I ended up having a room that usually was for tour guides, very basic. It did have a private bathroom but had odor. Anyway, better than no place to sleep. Still appreciate the inn manager, and blame Hotels.com system for overbooking.

Overbooked

The hotel id getting a bit tired and could do with a bit of an upgrarde.  It would have been nice to have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms.  The soap dispenser didn't work in our bathroom and the sliding door needed a good clean on the bathroom side.  Otherwise can't complain.

An OK Hotel

Location is good.  Near a supermarket. No TV in the room.

My friend and I stayed at this guest house for three nights as we explored Swakopmund and the surrounding area. The room was clean and just big enough for the two of us. The buffet breakfast was simply and tasty and the staff went above and beyond including opening breakfast early a couple mornings so we could get to our booked activities in time. Laundry service was affordable and quick. Great location within walking distance to the ocean, restaurants, and shops. Would highly recommend!

Service was good and personal very helpful. The lock in the door to the room was very dificult to open, it was annoying. The water from the shower rann out on to the floor beside thought there was a shower curtain. The light in the room was weak. Outside was nice with a table and chairs. We could park our car in the courtyard which was very important. The price value versus cost is ok.

We were a party of 6 sharing 3 rooms, the place is quiet, with a church nearby and easy to locate even thru GPS. The breakfast was my favorite part as they offered what I needed. They have a fast Wi-fi for the clients too

Basic room lacking appeal. Unhelpful and disinterested staff. This place has a policy of no washing of your own clothes and require you to use their laundry service. Pay upfront. The service melted some clothes and destroyed the fabric of others- $170 worth of ruined garments. They gave me $7. Zero responsibility.  

Disappointing stay- not recommended 

My room was clean, although I would have liked the bathroom to be a bit cleaner,  The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was on the small side, so need to be careful if you are a larger frame.

The room was at the back of the complex and although we had access to a wifi code, i could only access this if I was in the main part of the house, or in the front of the complex, so just meant I needed to plan my tasks rather than being able to multi task in the room.

The breakfast was lovely and served with a friendly team, so made to feel very welcome.

A good spot if you just want simplicity.

A good place to rest your head.

This quaint place has friendly staff and they are clearly trying to help you have a pleasant stay with good humor and singing whilst they go about their business. The breakfast is simple and decent and there’s no shortage of egg and bacon and toast! The rooms are small and simple but clean and the beds are comfortable. 

However!

There is no wifi! It connects then disconnects, then tells you that you have the wrong password, then connects, then disconnects etc... It is an exercise in frustration before you disable it and carry on living your life without it.

The showers are another test of ones patience, and daring. There’s very little pressure if other people are also showering and the temperature oscillates between ice cold and spitting flames from the shower head. Even when there is good pressure it is still risky to get comfortable.

i urge management to attend to these 2 problems as i would rather find another place next time i return with a group.

Comfy but in need of maintenance

Stayed here two nights. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Rooms were a good size and there is a cute courtyard with a fountain. Breakfast was very nice too continental plus cooked eggs bacon. We needed directions and the staff went out of their way to help us get on our way. The girl in reception helped us book the next lodge, as we couldnt get thru ourselves. Big smiles and acknowledgement made us feel very welcome.walking distance to town 10 min, quiet area with supermarket around the corner. Safe parking
