Although the hotel is situated in a nice area, the overall impression was very dissapointing especially for the price that was paid.  Only one meal was available on the menu.  Only 1 tv in the dining room and no coffee station in the room.  Stairs to the room is not very user friendly.



It is a beautiful place, owned and organised by very friendly and nice people. It was definitely a pleasure stay! Dinner and breakfast were abundant and tasty. If I come back to Namibia I will definitely come back there. Lastly we had the pleasure to look into a farm thanks to the owner.

Seeheim stay

This is a very nice hidden hotel with a lot of history. Interesting stories about the hotel and what has happend to it until today.
The people make you feel at home, very helpful and the food was really nice. 


Namibian gem

Arrived December the 6th as a base to see Fish Canyon - amazing views and a trip to Namibia is incomplete without a visit. Seeheim is basically this hotel, the map seems to show a town but really the hotel is the town - look for sign off the main road.
The place is rustic, enchanting and delightful - the staff and owner were lovely, very friendly and helpful and could not have made you feel more welcome as did the dogs and the friendy parrot.
You can really relax either by the pool with pure delicious water pumped from the ground at a perfect tempreture or with a cool beer out on the veranda 
The building(s) are charming, full of chracter and well maintained, truely a unique experience and one of the highlights of my stay in Naminbia.
A real escape, I liked it so much that I stayed a second night.

Relaxing, Charming and a unique experience

I stayed here recently for 1 night. The room was a good size, but there was no air conditioning and no safe, and there was some noise from the room above. The mattress was rather thin. Dinner options were limited, and again at breakfast - a cooked plate, fruit juice but no cereals.

Basic accommodation

Probably should have read the reviews before we tried this establishment. Known on the plus side for its idiosyncratic  decor, character and unique location (not another hotel for miles - hence our taking a chance on it at the end of one almighty hot day) we found this hotel comparatively expensive for what it offered. We were put in a room right next to a generator - heat and noise not a good combo. We asked to be moved - grudgingly given a family room but told not to spread out as only the two of us. Room dark and felt rather grubby. Sheets low grade. Glad we brought our own pillows. Generator was meant to swop over to solar batteries, but at 10pm we were plunged into darkness. No power. So no charging of cells etc but particularly difficult was the absence of fans in the heat and the subsequent battle with kamikaze mosquitos. The staff tried to be helpful - when asked for candles there were none in the hotel and we think one was fetched from a personal space. The owner was already disgruntled by a poor day's hunting so not particularly sympathetic. A disagreement occurred the next morning about the poor state of his establishment. No discount was offered for the lack of functioning systems. Instead belligerence and an attempt to take our car keys despite our paying the bill in full. Maybe if you get him on a good day it would be ok - if not be very wary. Read the other reviews commenting on owner's  behaviour,   I will never go here again.

Be wary - ask what is working!

We travelled with 2 kids and was put in a room that has stair cases on top of the tower, totally in accessible.  The area is also very badly serviced at night for walkways and not accessible for older people with many stairs. 

It also really need some good maintenance, the rooms is very basis and a couple in our group had cold water in the morning.  The prices is also very expensive for the quality of the accommodation.  

I would not recommend this to anyone.

Never again

Very nice owner and other people too. we come after sunset without booking, but it didn´t matter. We got beautiful room, very tasty dinner and good breakfast.
there lives very funny parrot :o) you can sleep there in bad or in your tent

our save in the night

We have been there "and got the T-shirt". Lovely stop-over. We were frustrated that the borders were closed. Covid. Will go back when we can. Everything was comfortable and staff pleasant. You feel as if you are in the middle of nowhere ...

Super stop-over place. Character and ambience.

We stopped for a beer on our way to Keetmanshoop. Next time we want to stay here in stead of Keetmanshoop. 
Seeheim is only the hotel and it just appears charming to stay here. 
There was also a number of people camping.
