I booked our room through booking.com it was very reasonable to stay there the night around £36 for the both of us which also including a nice breakfast. The rooms were great. Nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Parking is in a secure area.

Great place to stay

The guest house was nice, with very nice rooms, but it is on a main road and suffers from quite a lot of noise. Okahandja is not somewhere I would hurry back to. It is a working town with a lot of large lorries stopping off. we were advised to go to a place called rhinos to eat, which was like a truckstop, but to be fair the food was ok and I had half a cow on my plate.ok for a stopover

Nice guest house in a weird place

We were intrigued by the design of the guesthouse and the pretty good reviews on trip advisor. After a long flight we were happy to only have to drive for 90 minutes to Okanhandja from Windhoek. We were welcomed by the friendly owner who invited us for a BBQ. The rooms look really nice with African details and designs, however our room had a terrible moldy smell that made it difficult to breathe and we both woke up with a stuffed nose. I also woke up from water dripping on my head as the roof was leaking after heavy rain at night. The noise from dogs barking at night and cars honking on the highway were pretty disturbing as well. At least not what we had expected. We also didn't have any hot water in the beginning. Wifi didn't work. Breakfast the next morning was fine. Staff was rather unfriendly and seemed to be bothered by too many questions. We were actually very happy to leave the next morning and didn't have a chance to complain to the owner personally. Okahandja itself is nothing to write home about.
