It's like a private beach. Excellent service and good room amenities. Manager and staff did things with all their hearts in it. Very good value for money resort.
In terms of having seclusion akin to being in a privately owned beach, you would be hard-pressed to find any shortcomings of Ngapali. Probably the most private among mainstream beaches in the world!


Close to perfection.

The service is just chef's kiss! All the staff are very friendly, helpful and caring. 
And the food is delicioustoo. Even though our flight back home was early in the morning, they prepared the buffet breakfast in full course for me and my friend! We were so touched and happy. 
Thank you, Aureum Palace Ngapali team for making our vacation perfect. 
We will come back again.

Chef's kiss service

There are smells in all the rooms, rooms are too old. I think they should renovate the hotel as it is a 5 stars hotel. Food also not taste good, even we ask for an ice the waiters says no ice. They don’t even try to give us a better service. Air-cons also not cold.

Stay in Aureum palace Ngapali

Excellent stay with family. Will come again soon. The staff are super friendly and the food and facilities are awesome. Nearby outside restaurants are there too. The rooms are clean and getting 24 hr electricity is vial in Myanmar now. Thank u aureum

Marvelous stay

I do not recommend Aureum Palace after my second time visit with 20 people. There were problems upon problems since arrival. 

Out of almost 10 rooms we took, with one private executive suite and 9 other rooms, 3 rooms were checked in late from 2:30-3:00 pm. I talked with the front desk and the reply I got was, “but other rooms were on time”. “Check in time is at 2:00 pm”, “we’re just running late”. This is an absurd reply for a hotel like this. No, you do not charge customers with one of the highest rates across the beach and have the decency to reason us and not apologise. Also, they are VERY short on staff, the staff themselves complain about this point. 

Second, the housekeeping who added an “extra bed” in my room had no bed room. They literally placed a MATTRESS on the floor assuming I’d accept having to pay 40,000 MMK per night. Until I asked for the bed frame, they weren’t going to put one. 

Thirdly, we ordered french fries late one night, french fries in hotels are pricey, but I will attach a photo of what they actually served us. The respond we got was, we ran out of chips and these were the ones we received from our supplier. In another sense, it is not their fault to serve 4 cm long french fries and charge us hotel price. 

Fourthly, during breakfast, one of members weren’t sure if a dish contained meat as she is vegetarian. A waiter said no but upon asking another stuff, it was remarked as, it “may” have chicken stock powder. We were shocked and until we told them we will write a report and review, they decided to go back to the kitchen to confirm with the chef. 

Fifth, last day getting on the bus back to the airport, 5 of our bags were dislocated inside the hotel during the transport between the room and bus! It took us an extra 20 mins to wait for where our bags were. 

Our first stay at Feb was good but this time was very disappointing. I will not be coming back here or recommending. We all came here to rest, not to have to face all of this. Amongst the bad, the securities and gatekeepers and gardeners were very nice!

Do not recommend

Excellent hotel, sea and beach . Suitable for children's leisure. Nearby there are spa and restaurants. The hotel is covered with tick trees. The sea is calm and warm. The air is dry and comfortable. There are bicycles for rent. There is a morning promenade along the 5-6 km long beach. WI-FI throughout the hotel.

A real beach vacation

After a wonderful trip through Burma, we spent a very beautiful week in this landmark hotel. A warm, smiling and devoted welcome from all the employees, especially Mrs Way Way, Front Office Manager. We were very impressed by the beauty of the park, its floral and bright layout, the grandeur of the Bungalow and the restaurant-bar terrace facing a beautiful and long beach.

A dream hotel for those looking for peace and beauty

After leaving the beach resort enthusiastically 12 years ago, we were eager to see how the hotel and its surroundings have changed. Yes, the hotel has not been left without traces: very positive in the lovingly maintained garden, not negative, but visible in the still beautiful bungalows, negative in the absolutely unfashionable restaurant occupation. The small beach area is very well maintained. Rarely can you find such a quiet and crowded beach area. Housekeeping works impeccably and promptly, as well as the service in the restaurant and bar. The seafood bar is excellent and reasonably priced. The surrounding restaurants, such as the beachfront, offer landscapes and small restaurants, and we could soon see the change in the landscape and the way the restaurants were built.

I'm going back and forth.

The wooden bungalows are spacious and surrounded by lush nature, the swimming pool is huge right on the beach, under the coconut trees... the disconnect has been total, thank you for those moments of happiness!

It's like a dream.

Awesome 4-nights at Aureum Palace.  We greatly enjoyed hanging out on our large patio, watching the waves and sunsets.  Very nice beach with powdery sand and fairly warm water.  Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.  The breakfast was good but selection was a little limited. Lunches and dinners were outstanding, especially the Italian dishes. Only negatives that prevented me giving a 5-star was the lack of a gym, unusable pool due to freezing water temperature and water pressure in the shower.  Would still highly recommend.
