We stayed in Pinlon for 2 nights, it was such a lovely little retreat from the crazy city bustle of Yangon! It is a little further from the main Shwedagon area (about 15mins cab ride), but for us, it was the much needed get-away from the hustle. Nice, spacious villas/ cottages that gave a very restful, country feel - also the surrounding areas had nice greenery and a few ponds with ducks. Great for little ones to run around in a safe compound area. When we went there were a few parts under construction still, but didnt affect us at all. What we enjoyed very much was the room service food! We had some of our favourite dishes in Yangon there. And it was very reasonably priced at no more than USD3-5 for any dish we ordered. Overall, this is an excellent, restful retreat. Don't come expecting Four Seasons or Banyan Tree, but for its homeliness and friendliness that we really enjoyed.
