In the newer part of Mandalay but close to the palace moat. Perfectly fine hotel with descent rooms. Only one elevator so try to get at room at the lower floors. Also try to get one facing the opposite side of the mosque because they do the call to prayer at 5:30 in the morning. There are plenty of good restaurants in the area and also the big market just around the corner. Not really walking distance to Mandalay Hill and the pagodas below it. But there is always taxis outside.

Mind on which side you get your room

Large Hotel on a very busy corner, if you want a early night its a little noisy due to traffic,Buffet Breakfast fruit toast eggs and a selection of rice dishes, tea and coffee, WIFI was available without a problem, staff were alright but certainly not fantastic, stepping out of hotel roads are very busy

Fantastic Country

There's nothing interesting about this establishment. The rooms are small, dark, old-fashioned. Breakfast is very limited, almost no fruit, just a very strong tea pot so unpalatable. The view from the rooms: a disaster! Only the geographical location of this hotel can be positive.

Very poor

Small room, uncleaned bed sheets. Not terrible bathroom: old man. The water drain flows into a sterput and floods to the ground like never seen before! then even on the sixth floor, there was noise.

Don't go in there!

This hotel lacks fire escapes and I had major issues with stench coming from the pipework into the bathroom. I had a sleepless night breathing in the stench and felt really sick the next day. Whilst the hotel did agree to change my room, they need to deal with these problems rather than continue to put guests at risk.  Also,  noisy at night as people were weirdly walking outside the window at all hours despite being on the tenth floor! 

The position of the hotel was in a part of town that is away from a lot of the good restaurants so we ended up taking taxis to that area each night. 

My fellow travellers had similar experiences with the smell which they noticed in reception (although not that strong in their rooms) and concern about safety if there was a fire. Lots of wonderful hotels of all types in Mandalay and Myanmar generally so recommend you find somewhere else! 

Noisy, smelly and unsafe

Ok hotel for the price, bed comfortable. Water pressure not great in the 8th floor.
Staff are grumpy & disorganised. Breakfast is poor & not refilled after the early seats. 
The roof is used as something (probably laundry) & people walking across is are v noisy at all hours 
Location seemed too far from any walkable restaurants

Good sleep unfriendly staff

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of an Intrepid tour of Myanmar. It's a decent tour hotel. Our room was clean, comfortable and the aircon was excellent. I slept very well and it was very quiet (floor 7). Staff were friendly. Breakfast was included and was fairly decent- eggs/omlettes, toast,  fruit etc. Location is central in the city (a busy city!) and we easily walked nearby and found nice restaurants that our guide recommended (Indian street food near the mosque very close to the hotel). You would really want a tour or a guide for seeing Mandalay properly and preferably a vehicle for bringing you around as it's very hot and humid and quite busy. I was happy with this hotel. (Mandalay hill well worth a visit)!

Good tour hotel in central Mandalay

On the tour through Myanmar we came to this hotel for 2 nights. The location was good but in our room the air conditioning dropped on the fridge and the safe was unusable... after a long wait someone came to open the safe! However, it didn't work afterwards! The breakfast was ok... the staff was very attentive.

It was okay.

I stayed three nights the standard rooms are not very big but the cleaning of the bathroom left to wish had still in the sink beard hair and so on. breakfast barely enough.

Bathroom Cleaning to Improve

Very satisfied with my 3 nights spent in this well-located hotel in this city so pleasant to visit with its many pagodas, its golden-leafed buddhas, the Irrawaddy cruise to Mingun, Ava Island or U Bein Bridge; I only had my lunch, ample, varied with choices between Burmese and Western cuisine; a very smiling staff, always ready to serve (connecting the wifi on the smartphone or tablet for example); the rooms are very clean and comfortable and relatively spacious with a well-equipped bathroom.
