This is a real find. World traveler and managerTerrence speaks English and several other languages fluently and is a great story teller. He is also a great resource for travel in Myanmar. He will arrange superb trips to the surrounding countryside with a young woman  from on of the local tribal groups.He also arranbged trips closer in through Loikaw. There are few if any tourists in this beautifulk part of Myanmar. The Hotel is spotless. The rooms are large. Wifi is strong. The included breakfast is magnificnt, with European and Myanmar choices. Other meals are as good.  The staff is beyond helpful and charming. Terrence also helped us arrange a small boat for the 8 hour trip way up to Inle Lake. and Nyaungshwe. That was one of the highlights of our Myanmar trip. If you do that, then you do NOT need to schedule another trip to the lake when you get to Nyaungshwe.

Superb lodginbgs and service in a tourist-free part of Myanmar

Just experienced a 2 night stay at this delightful hotel that defines the word hospitality. Welcomed by charming, efficient and always smiling staff as well as Terrance, the manager, who is a treasure indeed. He can arrange a memorable tour of the area, especially if you are interested seeing the local charm of the ethnic villages and their amazing cultures.

The hotel is immaculate with spacious rooms replete with all the amenities you could want, including WiFi all at reasonable pricing.

Hospitality at its best.

I stayed here for two weeks and was very happy with the standard. Jackie, Mimi and their staff were extremely helpful and the rooms were very good. Free bottled water, breakfast and wifi (although a little slow) plus a very good menu in the restaurant with many Western options.

Great place to stay

This hotel was TOP. Clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to help us out. They contacted us with an excellent community based tourism guide, called us a taxi to the bus station and even gave us some fruits from their garden. Really lovely stay. I would recommend it without hesitation.

Very good stay in Loikaw

Planned a water festival holiday trip with family in Loikaw. I put up at a hotel named Hotel Myat Nan Taw for the whole water festival holiday. The hotel is located in a very convenient place and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. Even during national holiday, the Thingyan period, we felt the services provided by the hotel staffs are fully to our expectation. Breakfast is amazing. Laundry service is also very satisfactory. The view from the top of the hotel is amazing. Family dinner in the evening at the roof top was a memorable one for us.

I really recommend to have hotel meals where you can choose a variety of cuisine including the tasty local food to European at Hotel Myat Nan Taw.

A place where one could get a warmth and care as from your own family in a far away land

As an elderly person, it is my priority to have a comfortable and relaxing moment when travelling for a vacation. This year Thingyan Holiday was a memorable trip, as i can say, for me and my family to gather at a far away land, Loi Kaw. Age speaks when climbing up the stairs or any other uneven ground and for this special reason, me and my family was arranged to get the ground floor room at the hotel. Thanks to all the considerations from the Hotel staffs. I really experienced a marvelous local food at the hotel restaurant as it is not easy to go outside and find food at local shops during the water festival. Breakfast was mostly my favorite. It was very convenient to get a car rental at the hotel too even during the holiday season. Overall, i must say my heartfelt thanks to all Hote Myat Nan Taw staff for taking care of us during our stay at your hotel.

Family Holiday

I like to mention the staff particularly the General Manager Jacky is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the hotel for 3 days. On our 3rd night we requested to shift to another room. The staff was most helpful to arrange for us. The hospitality of the staff is so good in treating us well The rooms are generally well maintain except  noises from corridor can be heard from inside the room. 
There is a roof top deck where you can view nearby Taung Kwe Pagoda and neighboring buildings. It seems the hotel is the tallest building in Loikaw.

Hotel with Good Location

The staff is hard working, kind, ready to work with you and honest. My room had a weird smell and I wonder if it was mold under the sink and leaving the exhaust on got rid of the problem but othetwise it was great. It’s a great location and the staff is great. They even made me my vegetarian food for breakfast when their buffet was lacking at times. I would highly recommend his place. It’s not a 5 star but watching the staff clean and care for the place showed the pride they take in it and doing a great job

This hotel really needs updating.  The walls were cracked, the bathroom was outdated.  Dogs barked outside our hotel room all night long.  The internet was slow.  The TV had 4 channels -none in English.  The location was poor.  The staff was very friendly.  The food was good in their restaurant.

Disappointed

We did not get to stay in this hotel because the hotel OVERBOOKED the rooms and did not inform us until we got to the hotel. Very disappointed. However, they did help us get into another local hotel that was less desireable to stay. Overall disappointed.
