Denis is extremely professional and helpful.  We always use this guest house when accommodation is needed in Maputo for our corporate travel.

Sundown Guesthouse is the only place I'll stay in Maputo! They never disappoint! Denis and his staff goes to great lengths to make your stay as warm and friendly as can be. They start to feel like family! 
Everything you need in Maputo... Quiet, clean, excellent service and excellent pricing. The food is divine and even on a strict diet they went all out to please and assist.
Well done guys!

Denis and his staff were truly wonderful and very nice and accommodating.  The room was beautiful, very large, and had great amenities (kitchen, table, desk, couch).  This place was wonderful and even better considering the price.  The food at the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was delicious.  I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling to Maputo.

Convenient hotel. Rooms were well kitted out. Nice central location. Helpful staff. Breakfast was also good. I would suggest arriving before dark as the area is not the best and I would park my car behind the hotel gates 

My third visit here. Warm welcome. Lovely, clean and stylish rooms with all comforts. Bar & restaurant on sunny patio. Staff very helpful. A great find, good value for money in a safe & convenient area. Will return!

Best in Maputo!

Our first time at this modest guest house not far off Kenneth Kaunda and a short drive away from the airport, but it’s not likely to be our last. Compared with other lodging in the same price range, Sundown represents good value. Rooms are not huge, but ample for a short stay. There is a very good satellite tv service, a good work table, plenty of sockets (Mozambican and 3-pin South African), and a very good shower. In other words, all that is needed for a stopover or short stay on business. Service was friendly but also efficient (a speedy check out and payment even very early in the morning). We left a pair of reading glasses (we had no idea) and received a call from the owner later on the day of our departure – nothing exceptional perhaps, but an indicator of a good standard of customer care.

Well-run, good value lodging

We stayed here on several occasions in July and the staff were consistently attentive and accommodating. The hotel is in a very safe area, and the rooms are nice, but my favorite thing about the Sundown is how friendly and helpful everyone is.  I highly recommend it-a great place to stay if you are visiting Maputo for the first time!

Excellent small hotel-highly recommended!!

Super nice staff with clean rooms and tasty breakfast made to order. They were nice enough to give me same room on two bookings split by few days. They arranged my hotel airport transfers even very early in morning. Reasonable transport and restaurant prices. Rooms are good size with tv internet shower all working A+ quality. Great location not too loud and close to nice places to eat. Recommended.

Nice rooms superb staff tasty breakfast

I stayed at Sundown several times over three weeks of traveling around Mozambique. Denis, the manager, and his team are wonderful and were flexible and accommodating, making life really easy, when my plans changed. They really looked after me.

All three rooms I stayed in were immaculately clean and had great water pressure in the shower (not always the case in Maputo).  Air con was great and mosquito nets effective. Beds are super comfy and the the decor is modern and inviting.

Really reasonable laundry costs (I paid three times as much somewhere else).  The room rates are great as well.

Great selection of breakfast options, including cooked breakfasts, waffles, muesli, omelettes.

I will definitely stay here again when I return, hopefully later this year.

Great place to stay in Maputo. Will definitely return.
