We initially booked this hotel for one night at the start of our holiday in Mozambique and then one night at the end before we returned to the airport.  On arrival at the airport our driver (arranged by the hotel) was waiting with a sign showing my name.  Short trip to hotel stopping en route to pick up bus tickets to Tofo for next day.  

Room was not ready as we arrived around 9am.  As we were checking out very early the next day I cheekily asked if we could have breakfast that day - before check in.  No problem.  Breakfast buffet was very acceptable.   We could have left our bags and checked in later but the room was ready early so we dropped bags before exploring. 

Room was comfortable and as described.  On ground floor near reception but quiet.  Safe in room was a bonus.

We chose to eat at Mundo's on the junction opposite the hotel.  American style pizza and hamburger joint.  We paid about 2,000 total for large pizza and drinks.  Also Thai restaurant next door with similar prices.  Mpauto is not a good place to walk after dark to the presence of these 2 restaurants so close by was a big plus.

ATM on corner of street is also very useful.

Hotel is easy walking distance from Femia market which is worth a look for arts and crafts materials.  

Early start next day but driver was on time and made sure we were safely behind bus depot gates before left us.  Thank you Napoleon.

Due to an accident I spent 7 nights in hospital later in the holiday.  My husband spent those 7 nights at this hotel.  Taxi drivers did not know this hotel but when he said "Mundos" they all knew where to go.  Different rooms used as we booked daily/or only 2 days in advance.

We would definitely use this hotel again.  Value for money and friendly, helpful staff.

Good budget hotel

What a nice little hotel. 
I really enjoyed my stay here. I did not have that high expectation when arriving, but the super friendly and service minded staff turned this in to a great experience.
Nice breakfast where they even make you an omelet.
I will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel

We booked with the hotel as we were looking for budget accommodation. We didn't have high expectations so we were happy with what we got. However, the bed was very uncomfortable and the toilet needs a window. The staff at reception, kitchen and guards were absolutely wonderful except for 1 guy, the one who checked us in. Whenever he saw us he kept saying he was waiting for us, shrewdly implying that he was waiting for us to give him a 'Christmas gift' - this often spoiled the opinion we had on the hotel. Breakfast was sufficient. Although take note, it is not halaal. The staff don't necessarily understand what halaal is so don't ask. Room service was also good. There is no proper parking, you park half on the sidewalk and half on the road and cars are extremely close together, I could see that doors were opened onto my car which is frustrating. You need to state this so people know. It was safe as the guards are on duty and they did their level best to keep our vehicle safe.

Room is smelly..toilet smells urine and no ventilation. The bed is uncomfortable as a rock could not wait to leave the place. The front desk personel is very rude. i would never go back to that place. The carpet smells

Room smell , small and no vantilation on the toilets. Front desk manager hav bad  attitude,no costomer relation, Not professional  at all. I will not recomend any1 to stay unless thy staying with a prostitute. Kitchen staff great though

Poor service

The room is tiny, the bathroom door cannot even open all the way because it hits the bed. The room reeks of mold from the rising damp in the walls which is so bad it crumbles to the floor when you touch it. The bed is like a piece of corrugated iron, it's almost impossible to sleep on. The mosquito netting on the window is ripped and useless. The walls are so thin that all you hear until 4am are the other guests yelling, partying, slamming doors and carrying on with absolutely no respect for anyone. The bathroom is so small you can barely sit on the toilet, the walls and ceiling have mold on them, there is no ventilation other than into the room. The area around the hotel looks really dodgy and completely unsafe with zero attractions that we could find. The only positive during our stay was that the dinner was pretty good although expensive. Be aware if you pay in Rands or Dollars they rip you off with the exchange rate and shrug their shoulders when you query it. The included breakfast is okayish but not great, the eggs are like white jelly on top and burnt underneath. I would never go back here again.
