This place made us feel good straight away. The team is as excellent as their food. We got bread and pancakes from the owner each morning, good energy of the people working there.

You can sit on their terrace facing the dunes or open their direct access door to it...simply amazing!

This campsite and hotel which is enclosed by 8ft walls is right on the edge of the dunes. The campsite is split in 2 compounds, left and right of the reception building. 
The drive in is part dirt road and there will be people trying to stop you. We did not stop but the campsite owner told me they were touts trying to sell you something and not to stop.

The owner has good English and is very welcoming. He shows you where to park and will bring you mint tea (not sweetened) and some honey coated crispy treats. There is a terrace where you can watch people going to the dunes or climbing the large one in the distance.

The sanitary block on the left side which is kept very clean has 1 shower, 1 toilet with toilet paper and a wash hand basin with soap. There is a wash up area and 3x drains for the toilet cassette. The bins are wicker baskets dotted around the campsite.
There is no place to hang up the shower head. This is quite common in Morocco but if you bring a piece of strong wire you can hang the head up but be careful of the light bulb.
The right compound sanitary block is also very clean and has 2 showers and 2 toilets. The shower heads have hangers on the walls in these ones.
We didn't use electricity so can't comment but many people were plugged in.
The WiFi will show many bars on your phone but WhatsApp or Viber calls will not work away from reception. 

Every morning about 8am they bring you a fresh flat bread and 2 x pancakes to your van cooked by the owners wife. 
The owner also does excursions into the dunes which we did not take. We walked the dunes and up to the top of the highest dune which is about 90 minutes return taking in the views at the top all the way to the Algerian border. It's quite strenuous but worth it. There is a door through the back of the hotel straight out to the dunes.

The walk to the town is 5 minutes away. One main street has all the small shops where you can get bread, water, fruit, vegetables and all souvenirs you want.

It cost 50 dirham per night without electricity.
Before you leave the compound one of the guys will wash down your dusty windscreen with a hose. Great service.

At the door of the desert and the great dune of the Erg Chebbi we find a special place, where we can feel at home, after many kms on the road. The people are friendly and generous and take us to know the magic of the desert. Remembering on a terrace and seeing the great dune in the morning is something unforgettable and unforgettable. I recommend a visit to this special space.

Just in front of the "Gran Dune", this cute hotel has all you can wait for a special stay. Not great luxurious rooms, but clean and nice and with a fantastic views to the Erg and very good meals ( couscous, tajim, .. )

I had opportunity to spend here 1 night and it was really nice. I loved to sleep in Berber decorated rooms ! One of the best hotel rooms i have ever had :) Hotel has perfect location just with footsteps from desert dunes.
