Fantastic
298 reviewsMy wife and I stayed here for three nights. Like others have said, it is a bit difficult to get to and I would suggest you make arrangements ahead of time for someone at the riad to meet you where the taxi drops you off - Bab Taghzout, which is sort of a general area/parking lot that the narrow streets of the souks are connected to. You will definitely need someone working there to bring you to the riad because you will not find it on your own. However, after a few times of going out to walk the streets, we were easily able to find our way back to the riad. It is a bit difficult getting to the main square but once you get used to the route then it is about a 20 minute walk. Overall, we enjoyed staying at this riad. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to help us. The breakfast was always good with fresh bread, pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee, juice, etc. We stayed in one of the smaller rooms, the one that is off to the side. We planned on going somewhere else during our time in Morocco but we booked an extra few days in this riad as nobody booked our room. We enjoyed the room as it's pretty private and has a good separation of space with the washroom and sleeping area. The bed was pretty comfortable, sheets were always clean and the cleaning staff came by daily while we were out. Also, for a small fee, they provide laundry service, which was really great for us as we were backpacking. With respect to the food at the riad, everything we ordered was great. The prices are obviously higher than anything you pay for in the main square or souks, but the quality is 100 times better. The food at the riad is more like home cooking and if you visit Morocco then you must eat at the riads instead of dining out as everything else sold outside is just a big tourist trap with poor quality and small amounts. The food at riads provide genuine Moroccan food. The only negative thing I will say about the riad is the WiFi is not very good and you have to be close to the pool area to get a good signal. From our room, the WiFi was very weak but that is expected since the walls are solid concrete.
