When visiting Marrakesh, it is worth considering one of the many small riads in the heart of the Medina. Riads are hotels with a central courtyard garden, where all rooms open onto the courtyard. We stayed at the Riad Mostafa and loved it. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are clean. Complimentary breakfast consisted of fresh croissants and a selection of local breads  purchased fresh from the nearby market, freshly squeezed juice and coffee served in the terrace garden. We did not speak French or Arabic and Mahommed, the receptionist, did not speak English or Spanish, yet his efforts to understand us and accommodate our wishes were so genuine that we never experienced any problems communicating.  Riad Mostafa is tiny, but if you are looking for friendly service in an atmospheric hotel situated within the Medina, this unpretentious hotel is well worth considering.

Riads of Marrakesh

We couldn't sleep bcz of some guys were cooking their fuu damn tajin for dinner and they were laughing . 
As a moroccan I don't recommend this riad for you tourist unless you will end up ruining your vacation in Marrakech  !

The worst accommodation I ever been to.
We just booked flight and looked for accommodation upon arrival. We had seen around 10 other Riads in the area. They are all the same. But it was the only one that didn’t smell mould but clearly it had because it was all visible. 

Another bummer we faced me and my husband is that, because we are two arb couple we needed to show marriage certificate, a stupid requirement that we didn’t know about. I am not 100% sure but it could be something to do with reducing illegal sexual activity, maybe to do with religion… 
Usually we book online… 
But in another Riad 2 managers was arguing to allow us to book because we had European nationality and should be treated as such. None Arabs don’t need to be married to share a room.

So we argued the same at this hotel to allow us to book. Not that manager/everything cared… he was just interested to take the money.

Gave us a boogie roll and the key.
No names taken, didn’t bother to open our passport. Health and safety risk none existent…
Very dark room you can’t see much…
Hot water that keeps getting cut,
Mould everywhere 
Towels that arrived after the fifth time of begging. Two tie towels and one bath towel but in reality their time is over due to rags with holes and stains. Rough as coral reefs that cuts you.
The bath towel had to be used as a bath match to avoid water from toilet entering the room. Even if we avoided the toilet. Made sure to not use it. 
Road door was always locked, and had to wait for the manager who always on the roof getting high or sleeping behind the reception. 
We had asked not to touch anything in the room and yet the manager went in and turned the light off. The light that we kept on so we could get in when we got back late.  Usually I don’t take with me soap or toiletries, thank god I did because that toilet had a tiny old soap with dry dirt on. 
Let’s talk about service, no breakfast, wouldn’t want one from this Riad but no asking for hot water to have a hot drink in the riad. While other Riads usually has it as a welcoming drink when ever you want. 
No where to hang clothes and you need to use your senses to know what you are wearing because the light is so low.

I don’t take bad reviews lightly. I genuinely try to understand before I write and I don’t want people to risk their business but how to improve. 
And for my fellow traveler's to know what to expect and how to be better prepared. With this road I only now got the chance to review and I didn’t dare to read any reviews about what we were experiencing. 
But holly cow! I took a two hour bath when arriving back. I have never ever felt so dirty in my life in contracts to when I had visit other places in Morocco how clean I get back and fresh.
Because of all the lovely Hammam baths, nice rest and great exploring in Morocco.
What a shame for such a great country. 
Marrakesh needs to improve on so many levels and I feel that this hotel Road Mustapha really reflects Marrakesh as a general.
And this is my experience, I hope you had a better one.

A Place in Hell, is an understatement

Worst Riad I ever experienced in Marakesh. Room so small that they had to remove a foot of the bed to fit in the room (See picture). Bathroom was a toilet where they placed a shower (see picture), so after a shower the toilet was completely wet. Room very noisy, it felt like sleeping in the middle of the street. And for this luxary 2 person room we had to pay 45 Euro. A ripp off !!!

Do NOT stay at this Riad.  Our room was filthy and way overpriced.  Old soap in the bathroom with hair on it, smelly socks under the bed, gum on the bedspread, suffocating cigarette smell, and smelly, dirty sheets and towels, the list goes on and on.  The management was rude and unprofessional, having a LOUD, drunken party in the better rooms of the hotel until the wee early hours of the morning.  We barely slept at all. I have stayed at many, much cheaper hotels in Marrakech and this is by far the worst.  This Riad is a disgrace, I left feeling like a needed another shower.
