Dar Lamane

Riad Dar Mamouni is a good base for having a true Marrakesh experience. What our host lacked in his English communication he made up for in his helpfulness. The Riad is inaccessible by car so he met us when our taxi arrived and took us down the alleyways to the Riad. Mint tea whenever we wanted it and a warm welcome on arrival. He even offered to help us if ever lost in the Medina giving us his card and telling us to call him. We booked an excursion and when the driver didn’t show he called them and got us where we needed to go. Arranged taxi to and from the airport for us. Room was clean, shower nice and hot, bed comfortable and warm when it’s cooler at night. We don’t like to pay out on lavish accommodations and prefer to use that money to explore and trips and this Riad is certainly ideal for that. I would also like to add that he went above and beyond for us when we (long story) discovered that we should of been at the airport for our return flight earlier than anticipated. Without his swift actions of running us out the walls to ensure a quick taxi ride to the airport we would have missed it. We also loved the roof terrace for an escape and a bit of peace and quiet.
