Hôtel Jnane El Harti

Jnan El Harti is a public park in the Gueliz part of Marrakesh, across the street from the main post office (and McD's) (The photo posted on Trip Advisor of a swimming pool has nothing to do with the park, by the way.) If you get there at early in the morning when it opens, around 9 AM, it is a very calm and a beautiful place for a quiet stroll and these spring days on Sunday morning there is a yoga-movement group --- mostly Moroccans but also others----who meet in the cupola in the center of the park and do their thing to a recording of Japanese meditative music... so it adds a unique touch. The layout of the park affords a lot of nice views of a large variety of plants and trees. Later in the day, it's also very nice but has, of course, more people and a good share of young couples which can be annoying to some people. The park closes at at 6 pm in the warmer months, but at 5 winter and in Ramadan.
