Riad Azrou

Beautiful hotel in the very center of Azrou. As a solo traveler, expecting only a central location, a good bed and some rest is my priority. This hotel offers all of them. It of course needs some refurbishment, but the cleanliness of the sheets, spacy rooms were good. Definitely recommended if you have a short stop over in Azrou to explore around.

During my time in Morocco I stayed in three riads. This was the best of them. The room was very large with comfortable beds and good wifi. However, the best part of the stay were the staff and the meals. Regarding staff, Fatima was always very friendly and cheeful. I only had two meals there dinner and breakfast, and both were great. If you are heading to Azrou difinitely stay here.

We stayed two nights at Riad Azrou and had a wonderful stay. They first night we were tired and didn't want to search for a place to eat so we had dinner at the riad which was very good. The complementary continental breakfast was also very good with lots of different fresh baked breads and pastries to choose from and fresh squeezed orange juice and good coffee. We especially enjoyed our hostess, Fatima, who was very attentive and kind and helpful. She hugged us and kissed us in the cheek when we left. You don't often get that kind of care! Riad Azrou is very traditional, and a very handsome old riad. The price is right! I highly recommend it for your stay in Azrou.

One of the best places we have stayed in at this price. A lovely welcome, comfortable rooms, great location between the mountains and the plain.

I stayed at Riad Azrou from 24th June 2019 to 1st July 2019. For value, I could not have asked for more. My room was comfortable and as well-appointed as I might expect for a lower-budget hotel. It is family-run, very clean, and everybody there is very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are straight forward, but very enjoyable. It is situated just by the main square in Azrou, with a nice terrace on which to enjoy a meal. Azrou itself is very pleasant and the surrounding country side is beautiful. It is a predominantly Berber area and I found the local people friendly and helpful in all instances. I would happily stay there again.

Even though this riad is quite basic it is great value.  Azrou is a small town and I don't think there are too many riads to choose from. I'm rating this riad very highly primarily because of the wonderful manager (Fatima) who made us feel completely at home and treated us like family.  The location could not be better and the small town feeling of Azrou was a welcome change from the hustle of Marrakesh.  Azrou is also a great place to buy rugs - the shopkeepers are not pushy and there is a good selection and (I think) better prices than in Marrakesh.

Very friendly and helpfull people @ Riad Azrou.We called in advance and asked if they could help with transport plus a local guide which they did - we had some nice walks with Mohammed.

We got the family room on the ground floor, really spacious room with 1 double bed and 2 twin beds. The room was spotless clean, very cozy and warm, and very quiet. The food is really nice, both dinner and breakfast. And the staff is really helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

From our arrival at Fez Airport where we were met by the hotel manager Rachid, we were offered exceptional service in this enchanting, simple old riad - marvellous breakfasts, a delicious tajine dinner, excellent tips for walks and outings, introductions to friends, instant repairs for a blocked drain. One of the best hotel experiences in many years of travel all over the world and at an amazingly low price.

Great Value and a Gracious Hostess

A very pleasant stay in a beautiful part of Morocco

This tiny riad is located on the main square accessed by a narrow passageway almost hidden from sight.  Brightly lit rooms are located on three floors and open onto a central interior courtyard.  Rooms were clean although very basic.  Supply your own toiletries such as soap and shampoo.  Bathroom space was limited with a shower tucked into a corner next to the toilet.  Rooms were serviced daily and were very tidy and clean.  The concierge was most gracious and willing to accommodate our birding group’s needs such as providing an early most delicious and complete breakfast out on the third level roof.  As typical in Morocco language could pose a problem but the concierge spoke French in addition to Arabic.  A real plus was the location on the town square that gave us ready access to a selection of dining venues and a great variety of small shops that sold sweets, shoes, clothing, jewelry,  and local crafts.

Great location, wonderful staff, clean and quiet with breakfast on the rooftop terrace

We stayed one night on our way from north to the desert. We enjoyed a nice tajine they prepared for us (make sure to make a reservation up-front). The staff was very warm and friendly and they prepared also a good local breakfast for us. We had the last room before the terrace, the bath room is very small but for one night with that budget totally fine. We enjoyed their service and helpfulness. Thank you

Good for a short stay - very friendly

Very nice Riad with friendly owners. Very accommodating. English and French spoken by different people there. We had breakfast on the terrace and enjoyed Moroccan tea and pancakes with a mountain view. Decent showers with hot water. Great location to explore the area of Azrou. Would highly recommend if you're in the area

Riad in central Azrou

Wonderful taste of Moroccan hospitality

An older property with character and relatively-simply adorned. Could use some touch-up paint here and there. Still, quite comfortable and convenient and - best of all - has very friendly and helpful staff. An excellent value, it’s a good base for exploring the area.
