Due to our early morning flight we always use the Riad Ksar the night before. We usually arrive around mid afternoon after a 3 hour drive, get a drink and spend the afternoon around the pool, before going to the room to shower ready for an evening meal. 
The staff are very attentive with towels supplied for the pool area and the rooms are very clean and traditional.
The only downside is the hotel operated a fixed menu and there is no variation from this which, whilst the food was nice it didn’t suit all members of our family. 
We have used this Riad for a couple of years and will carry on doing so.

Good place to stay

The Riad is pretty but really far away from the city and from the airport. It's strictly necessary to have your own car, otherwise you will be forced to pay high fares to get to the airport by taxi. Much more convenient to take the taxi directly from Fes. 

I chose this Riad because it was next to the airport but it was really a bad idea. 

The breakfast was really cheap: stale bread with industrial jam and a cup of coffee. 

I had a real bad experience. They were dishonest and unfair. 

This is exactly what you don't look for in Marocco.

The rooms and the whole hotel was very clean. The staff were amazing, Mohammed was really helpful and the man that works regularly in the evening (sorry, I can't remember his name) is really friendly and was great with the children we were with. 

The food was great. 2 of us are vegan and Mohammed made sure we had food. The dinners especially were so good, the best food we had in Fes. 

The outside area is great, with lots of beautiful gardens and a lovely pool - although it was usually a bit too cold to go in but that was probably due to the time of the year. 

The hotel was a bit far away from the Medina and Fes itself, which at first we thought would be a problem. But the staff were so helpful in booking taxis for us that we were able to have days out in Fes without a problem - plus the cost of travel (for trourists) isn't bad at all. That, and the fact that the dinners were so good, meant that we were happy to have dinner at the hotel after pool days so it wasn't a problem at all. 

There really isn't much to see or do in the surrounding area, so for days out get a taxi into town and spend the whole day there. For days at the hotel, the pool and sun loungers should be enough.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff

We had our last night here before flying out. It is a nice respite from the busyness of Morocco.There is a lovely pool. It seems to be primarily a hotel for golf guests though so rooms a bit masculine. Great because it us near the airport if you have an early flight.

Great riad near airport

I selected this hotel particularly for the reason that it is close to the airport however, I did not find it to be too different to travelling from the city centre, especially at a time when there is no traffic.

Despite the language barrier the staff were very warm, welcoming and understanding. With the help of google translate I was able to communicate my requests, such as dinner and booking a taxi for the hotel in the morning.

The grounds are very nice and so is the outdoor terrace. The dinner was amazing, the Tagine was probably one of the better ones I have had in Morocco. I would say a starter, main and dessert is pretty good at 15 euros a head considering what some other places charge.

I would stay again but more likely in the summer when the swimming pool is actually in use.

Nearest village with shops is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel along a country road with no pavement.
