Hotel Ouzoud

Day trip to see Africa’s 2nd highest waterfall. Private taxi with driver (900 dhm ) - our hotel is a little way out of Marrakech so prob a wee bit closer than If we were in city centre. Trip for guide at the falls 150dhm (about 13euro) for my husb n i together. Boat trip about 20dhm each Lunch 60dhm each (so 120 total) Our private taxi driver (Aziz 00 212 6 61 44 49 58) was well worth it! It cost more than doing it with a group tour but the advantage we could take as long as we wanted etc. Highly recommend this guy - we are going to use him again for a diff trip on Monday. He told us a lot of very interesting things on route - and things (from my guess) that are not part of your average touristy blurb. Really highly recommend him! The guide at falls was worth the price and you get to go to both sides rather than one side only without guide. He was great for info and photos. Boat trip great too. Lunch a (little) overpriced I think but... was tasty and we had no complaints. Service at restaurant was good. There was rain last night so the falls were seriously muddy (fantastic to see tho as we’ve never seen a “brown” waterfall. If it is clear you are able to swim (but today would’ve been like a mud bath). Drive approx 2.5 hrs each way (5 total) Approx 2 hrs at falls (incl walk around, boat and lunch). Fabulous that none of the market stall holders seemed very pushy. Relaxing shopping experience. The only negative was that there is a lot of litter!.
