Nice little hostel, not quite a hotel, small rooms, nice for one night or two, I didn't have the problems that I've read about the noise but I can quite understand it, the rooms are very close to each other and the hallway. So I would call for a refund if you find some pesky ignorant guests who think they are on their homes. If you don't, it's quite a normal place to stay, kinda cold in winter season. Nice ppl with a very nice attitude.

So so... 

It is important to note first that this is actually a hostel, not a hotel.  This was not clear to us when we booked a room for three nights while in town for the annual artisans market during Semana Santa.  While neither my spouse nor I are snobs when it comes to accommodation, a logical requirement we both have is that we should be able able to sleep at night with minimal or no interruption.  Throughout the interior of this property it is extremely noisy, day and night.  From other guests blowing their noses like trumpets in the echoing hallways, to the squealing children and slamming doors, one simply cannot avoid it.  The large, old electric fan provided in the room was as loud as a turbo jet engine, and we had to resort to running it all night just to drown out the cacophony and attempt, however unsuccessfully, to sleep.  There is a smoke alarm above the bed that flashes an unusually bright light every 20 seconds which also interrupts sleep.  The bathroom was the smallest we'd ever used, not unlike those commonly found in fifth-wheel trailers.  The distance from this property to the center square was many more blocks than we'd have preferred, though that was our own fault for not having checked a map more closely.  On the upside, the front-desk staff was courteous.  Upon checking out immediately after the first night, we were refunded without ado for one of the three nights.  There is also an enclosed parking area which is an important provision here.
