Hotel Hacienda Ventana del Cielo

Amtalán is a tiny town, 9.8 kilometers farther from Tepoztlán. There is nothing to do there but relax and rest in this beautiful, little hotel. Not far is a Spa if you feel like you need a little extra. But you can just chill beside the little pool on the garden of this adobe hotel. The staff is incredibly nice and it's one of the cleanest "posadas I've ever been to. And of course, the view is great. The hotel sits right at the bottom of the mountain with the "Window to Paradise" it's famous for. Note: Forget about home and all your troubles because there's no cell reception. Free Wi-Fi though. Warning: Prices on some internet sites are wrong and need updating. December 2013 standard room goes for $100 USD. Breakfast included though. HUGE WARNING: They offer you earplugs and apologize in advance for the "traditions" of the town. Turns out the crazy father of the church, likes to hold mass at 5am with megaphones, loud singing and, best of all, huge firecrackers known ad "cuetones". It's all over by 6am but, believe me, no earplug will keep you from waking up at the sound of loud, Loud, LOUD explosions. But if you can bare it, it's one of the most peaceful and relaxing Hostels I know.
