86 reviewsI have visited the new Desayunador restaurant two days in a row now and will definitely be back many times again. The Oaxacan husband and wife team have moved here from a former downtown location and those of us in the neighbourhood are more than delighted. The quality of the food and its presentation are really worthy of any first-class restaurant. The chef is all about flavours and has created interesting and tasteful dishes that go way beyond their initial format in Mexican cuisine. The smoothies are delicious and have totally unique ingredients. The Oaxacan hot chocolate is like no other. All of the menu items contain interesting ingredient combinations resulting in unusual taste treats. It is obvious that quality ingredients are used and each dish is plated beautifully....each one a feast for the eyes. Service is attentive, friendly and professional. You can choose a seat in the immaculate white and black dining room or on the terrace or in the garden weather permitting. One is made to feel that your visit is appreciated by every interaction with the staff and that the food prepared for you is unique and created with care. This restaurant, basically open for breakfast and brunch every day but Wednesday, deserves to have a lineup and experienced by more than those who happen to be lucky enough to have booked accommodation at Casa Carly.
