Hotel Riviera Coral

A very nice place, peaceful, lovely views of the Mar de Cortes, and mountains, very clean, cactus and palms trees surrounds the hotel. Close to San Felipe downtown,stores, curios shops.  Personell very friendly, clean rooms with airconditioning. Ii´s a yearly visit for us.  Sea is like a huge swimming pool.

A lovely, traditional mexican atmosphere.

Cheap hotel, but equal or event better to other expensive options in San Felipe.
Pool was good and the staff was friendly. 
Recommended if you just need a clean bed and safe place to sleep.
The hotel is near the downtown, but you may not want to walk as the surroundings are dark as there are not street lights.

Good enough

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights while on a family vacation (with 3 young children). Hotel is very clean, grounds are beautiful with lots of palm trees and plants, pool and kids pool are nice and very clean. 

The rooms, though clean, are very simple with hard beds.

The 2 biggest downsides to this hotel are:
1. The location- hotel is situated up on a hill, about a 10 min walk to the beach. The location is surrounded by lots of abandoned buildings, and a little far from the center of town.

2. Lack of restaurant - this hotel doesnt have a restaurant on-site, and the rooms are so simple that they didnt even have a coffee maker for coffee or tea in the mornings.

But if you're looking for a clean, inexpensive place to sleep, with a nice pool, this hotel is worth considering!

Beautiful grounds, very simple rooms, far from beach.

Stay there three nights this month.  Firsty they put me in room 3 then asked to be moved to room 18.   The pool water is cold.  The pool is dirty. No hot water until I complained then only warm water. There were four of us.  Only two towels.  I really had to complain.  Television reception only five chanels.. On a scale from 1 to 5, five being the best, this rated about a 2 and a half.

OVER PRICED FOR THE QUALITY

We were at the San Felipe 250.  Someone with a key let themselves into our room. Stole a handbag and battery pack.  The handbag was a family gift of 25 years. We also had our car broken into in the Secured Parking. A Custom driving suit, laptop. Knives, battery jump drives etc.  the driving suit alone was $2200.
