Great view! Yuum Ha Hotel location was very nice and right across from the malecon. The pool was better than expected and great for cooling off in. The staff were very friendly and especially Bernaby (Barnaby) and Julie. We loved walking to Sendero Peten Mac and making use of a mototaxista Juan who we used for an excursion to San Felipe and Las Coloradas and playa Cancunito. Juan has a mototaxi that has good shade and he was friendly and pointed out crocodiles in mangroves at the side of the road. It was only 20 minutes by mototaxi to San Felipe and 40 minutes to Las Coloradas. You can contact Juan through the hotel’s front desk staff. The posted hotel rules regarding no outside beverages or food even in rooms, seemed very unreasonable and so we ignored the rule. We did also eat and drink in the hotel restaurant area.

Loved our stay at the Yuum Ha.  Great view of the bay and fishing boats. Enjoyed watching the pelicans and gulls pass by our window. Friendly service. Enjoyed breakfast both mornings and dinner one night on the patio.  Easy to stroll along the beach/walkway to other restaurants.  Parked on the street in front of the hotel. We are so glad we decided to stay at this hotel in this laidback fishing village.Got up at 5:30 am to take a birding tour where we saw dozens of flamingos and many other varieties of birds. Perfect way to start the day.  We had made arrangements for a tour before we arrived, but there are many tour operators waiting to help you when you get there.

Very cool place. Staff friendly and accommodating.

The property was lovely and the town is so quaint. It is totally worth paying for the ocean view as you overlook the docks and can enjoy the birds. The place has a great vibe, plays upbeat music by the outdoor bar and the staff is fun.

We spent a week here and it was fabulous.  Great food and the exceptional staff gives personalized service. Location is on water. Watch the fishermen or at dusk locals shrimping. Quiet small quaint one of our best locations we have stayed in Mexico 

We had a terrific stay at the hotel ... everyone was friendly, the service of great, breakfast was perfect.  We loved watching the boats and birds.  One word of warning ... if you want quite, don't go during Carnaval ... while we loved the music, dancing, floats and costumes, we didn't love quite so much at 12:30 am!

Terrific Stay at Laidback Fishing Village

Terrific spot in Rio Lagartos

This hotel has stunning views but is a little difficult to locate as it is on the pedestrian walkway and is not well sign posted.The rooms are large and comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was not fantastic but that didn't affect my comfort.Staff were very friendly.  The hotel are in the process of making changes on the beach.

Well worth a visit Yuum Ha

Outstanding boutique hotel on the water. Phenomenal food breakfast lunch and dinner. Clean rooms. Great Wi-Fi and extremely well run. Highly recommend. Jo and all of the staff made the experience memorable and delightful. We were traveling to fish the area (excellent fishing and guides with Tarpon Cay Lodge) and the stay made the trip.

Jewel of Rio Lagartos

We loved our stay and can’t wait to return! The views from the balcony were amazing. The service was spectacular. The food was delicious. Our daughter had a blast in the pool. The complimentary drinks upon arrival were superb! This hotel is right in front of the tourist information center making it easy to book your boat tour/guides.

We were beyond delighted with our stay! Worth the drive to this slice of heaven. They waited for our check-in and kept the restaurant open thank goodness because the food was unbelievable! Have the grilled octopus it’s to die for. Room was as advertised, great view and comfortable enough with WiFi, too. All you had to do was walk across the street to grab a boat to go tour the Rio Lagartos. We saw the famed flamingos, pinks lakes, did a traditional Mayan mud bath right off the boat (absolute highlight) and then rinsed off at our own private beach! Unreal experience worth every pesos and was affordable. We sealed our trip with lunch at the hotel that they graciously served us in a gazebo right on the water! Perfection, charm and the authentic Yucatan. Staff was so friendly and spoke excellent English!! Can’t wait to return. Thank you again Yumm Ha! 

Exceeded our every expectation! 

This hotel has a great location in Rio Lagartos. It is literally located in front of the place where you get the tours to the pink lakes and to see the birds and crocodiles. It is within a 5 min walk from a couple of great restaurants with amazing seafood and ceviche. Additionally the staff was very nice and friendly and the room was good as well.

Nice clean hotel plenty of hot water had nice small  balcony  they set up the tours  for the for  The flamingos and the pink lakes  The tour guy they got us was the name  Jose Martin Aguinaga  he was absolutely wonderful would go back to the hotel and will definitely request him for a tour again love the small fishing village
