Casa Adriana

This is the second year that we have strayed at Casa Adriana at this location, we feel like we’re at home, at 69 years of age I could pretty much stay anywhere I want, but I do like staying at Casa Adriana hostel the rooms are clean the rooms are well maintained Friendly staff Rita is our cleaning lady and she does a fabulous job, it’s a great location, we think of Adrianna as our friend/family, not a host 
Pam an I are greatfull for that she cares  about our needs we arrived two days ago, both of us have colds Even though she is younger than us, she was mothering catering to our  needs She is a blessed angel.

My favorite space to spend my nights in Puerto Vallarta.  Located in the Los Glorias part of Puerto Vallarta, it is easy to get to where you are coming from.  The buses run very close to the Hostal location.  This is my second time and I am never disappointed.  The hospitality is great and Adriana and Samuel do a great job of guiding your to the places you want to visit.  This is home away from home.

I had a wonderful time at Casa Adriana Hostel.  The owners are warm, friendly and helpful.  It was a great stay and I met many lovely people staying there.  The rooms were large and clean.  I made friends with one of the cats there and she slept with me almost every night.  It was like being home.


Adriana was very nice, she keeps a clean, nice, easy place to stay at reasonable rates.  It is located well located to see Puerto Vallarta.  She was helpful with local knowledge. The room was simple and clean, with two single beds and an attached bathroom.  Her cleaning lady did a nice job of straightening the room.  Our room had a small frog and microwave oven included.  We loved all the small local restaurants in a short walking distance.  Thanks for a great stay.  Cheers.

I stayed in this facility for 15 nights.  I had a quiet room with air conditioning and a very comfortable king size bed, with plenty of drawers for two weeks worth of clothes. Adrianna and her husband took me out to eat at a local place; and it was delicious.  I pretty much walked every where and could get a bus or taxi at a fair price.  I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend her rooms.  Adrianna lives on top of the facility so you don't have to worry about other guests being noisy; and they don't allow any alcohol on the premise.  I will come her again.  Wi-Fi is excellent.

Looking  for a last minute place, Casa Adriana came in handy, budget friendly at 33$ a night. I had the room on the floor level, self contained. It does not have any window in case that is important for you. I would probably book a room on a different level as they seem better on the picture (with a window and probably a better air flow and phone reception). I had to be outside when using the phone - guessing it depends on carrier. A few things you may want to know: AC is extra 10$, 50$ or 500 MXC caution given back at the end of your stay. And 50$ pre-payment  to hold the room. I paid the caution in pesos and ended up having foreign money at the end of a trip, so paying the caution in US dollars is better to avoid losing 10$ as you buy back your money when you exchange upon leaving. Location is unbeatable as it is less than 2 mn walk to the main road where I caught the bus to Walmart (7.50 pesos) and from Walmart caught the bus to Nuevo Vallarta (15 pesos I believe) and there I watched the whales. No need to take a taxi if you use the bus outside rush hour. Bus to and from airport is 7.50 pesos. From Airport, bus stop is on your left as you exit the door (walk along the wall on your left until you see an overhead bridge for going across). Very easy if you only have a backpack like me. Overall good for a traveller on budget who is looking for a place to lay their head and nothing fancy.

Location is very good, walking distance to downtown for me or you can take a bus. Hostal is clean, owner is kind and really very helpful. I arrived 2 ours before checkin time but the owner let me wait there until he cleaned. I stopped in dormitory for three nights. There are only two bathrooms, I'm afraid it is not enough if hostal is full. I didn't get hot water from one and there was very low water press in another. Bed was really very comfortable. But... there is not any place where to hold you things, only locers, which were really big. There wasn't any privacy, yes I know it's a hostal but it was my first experience in hostal to loch all your things, clothes, toiletries etc even you take shower. There was a curtain between two dormitorys and room was through-pass. No water, no kitchen, no place to sit. Once I sat in the outyard and passers on the street asked all the time if there is vacancy like I was the owner.
So, it is good place for one-night-stop to backpacker, not with big luggage as I had. I missed hostal Oasis where I stopped two month last year. Next time I should use private room.

Good for one night stop

Very bad experience. Please keep away from this place. They ruined our vacation..  they gave us one price and then they changed their mind. And then we told them we're going to make a negative review and then they pretended they're a sickness in the family. Then we checked and they're still charging and taking in customers and making hundreds of dollars

Bad customer service and unprofessional

I would never have booked when I did if it were not for the free cancelation option, but when I tried to cancel almost a week in advance of the deadline it was refused and the option removed.  When I wrote my request through the normal process it was ignored completely.  I reluctantly stayed there for 3 nights, so my review is clearly negatively biased.  
Clean enough but no room service, no office, no social anything at all.  Quiet, safe neighborhood. What little interaction I had with the patrons was friendly.  Neighborhood is industrial commercial, and the only strip club I saw across Mexico in a month of traveling coast to coast was around the corner.  Everything worth seeing is a 10 minute bus or tax ride away.  I tend to walk 5-10 miles each day.  Nothing worth seeing in this part of town for me.  I would never stay here again!

Not for me.   My first negativer review in 4 months of traveling.

I’m from Canada and stayed here before. She had the audacity to enter my room when I was out and turned my A/C off. I also noticed right away that my brand new sanders were gone as well as makeup and money. I didn’t confront her because she has really bad anger issues, her own daughter took her to court for assaulting her. A couple years ago when I stayed here a guy by the name of Brody said his bank card went missing, I didn’t think much about it until now. This is a warning to future visitors.
