Casa Macondo

We had so much fun here! Andy was a superb host and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and memorable. The casa is set on a hill so the views to the ocean are gorgeous, from the rooms or from the pool. There are a selection of rooms to choose from - the studio by the pool comes with it's own balcony and kitchen - and there are at least two other units that have full kitchen set-ups and private balconies that overlook the ocean. We stayed in one and our friends stayed in the other. It was perfect for us since we cooked most of our own meals, and spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool or in the shade. If you'd like to get away though, it's a five to ten minute walk through the forest to the beach or a slightly longer walk using the roads. It's a 15 to 20 minute walk to town - but there are at least 2 places to buy basics such as fresh tortillas, eggs, veg, etc. that are closer than that. We didn't have a car but it wasn't a problem for us. This was a super friendly place that we would definitely go back to. Andy is very relaxed and easy-going. We only met Cony on the last day of our stay but she was lovely too! If you're looking for a 5-star hotel, this probably isn't the place for you. But if you're looking for a friendly, relaxed, easy-going experience in a gorgeous setting, I highly recommend it. Thanks Andy and Cony for making our stay so memorable!
