B&B Casa Coral

A very beautiful, clean townhouse with a large yard consisting of patio, parking space with bicycle stand, lawn, and many trees and flowering plants, in a quiet working-class neighborhood. There are only two bedrooms, one of which is smaller, overlooking the jungle; the other has a balcony. The owners, Paola and Stefano, are charming, kind, caring, helpful and accommodating in every respect. Casa Coral is the perfect place to book if you are renting a car and would like to stay away from the noise and commotion of the 5th -- 10th ave. central areas. We were able to drive to Walmart (on 30th Ave., between 8th and 12th St.) and use their underground parking whenever we wanted to browse the "tourist trap" or eat at one of the restaurants there. Walking in the immediate neighborhood proved to be a very pleasant experience, even at night. It felt perfectly safe! The streets are alive with people and the small restaurants and food stands are busy with customers even after 11 pm. Our favorite place to eat was on 30th Ave. and 32nd St. -- "El Fogon Del May" -- the food was always delicious, the service very fast, the staff extremely friendly and helpful (there was always someone who spoke English, in case we had questions) -- the tacos al pastor were to die for! Our vacation at Casa Coral was one of the best we've ever had and we were enriched with wonderful memories to cherish for the rest of our lives. We look forward to keeping in touch with Paola, Stefano and Pablito, and will definitely return for another vacation there!
